LIVE

I’m glad people like my Trials of Apollo art asdfghjk I adore the books so much!! I love how it’s separated from the previous 2 books, like it’s a new story, Percy and the gang are in the background, and a new characters get to be presented. I love how the topic of abuse is written into the story. I love that it’s a story about how a god and a 12 years old helps each others overcome past abuse, learn to be better than their abusers, learn to let themselves be forgiven, learn to allow themselves a new beginning, and break the cycle they’ve been put through. I love that romance isn’t the center of the story at all in any way, but LGBTQ+ characters are still half of the characters in this story. I love the character developement, when I finished the book and flipped through the first book again, I see clearly just how they’ve grown. And yes, in the end, I suppose the one word to summed up this books would be “grow”. After all, the main characters are a child of Demeter, goddess of all things that grows, and a sun god, whose ray nurishes them.

This is Trials of Apollo spoiler for those who haven’t finished them but

I always hope Apollo would mentions the Trojan war more since he plays a very important roles in it. I looked forward to seeing mentions of the sibling Kassandra and Helenus because those two are his seeress/seer and he dated both of them, and especially Kassandra because he really did her dirty and her curse of ‘always telling the truth yet never believed’ is something Rick could really play with, it’s got a lot of potential, and Apollo never lifted her curse even at her death. I imagine she carried that curse with her still and it’d be a cool plot to put in ToA.

A few months late, but I finally finished Dawn of Ragnarok DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla!
I gotta say I love it better than the previous 2 DLCs. I always love story based on myth, I really love when people retell myth differently because that’s how myths are supposed to be told. I love that Baldur’s death is how Havi, “High One”, become Odin, “Mad One”. I love how, by avenging Baldur, Odin become the one who hasten Ragnarok. It’s a little creative spin to the story. Greek and Norse myth have this thing in common where your fate are written since your birth, and I love the retelling where the one who try to avoid it found that he has walked into it, or in Odin’s case, taken a shortcut to it. On your second arrival to Svartalfheim, on the way to avenge Baldur, a soundtrack played in the background, and the lyrics is a verse from Voluspa about sign of Ragnarok, it’s neat detail. Overall could’ve been longer, but still quite happy with it!

I think there are AU of both the Spartan siblings being misthios and I present, AU where the cult got them both, and they’re called Deimos and Phobos, Terror and Fear, after the twin sons of Ares.

So you know how Alex shape-shifts for fun, right? And ome day Magnus got really amazed and said ‘Whoa Alex, I thought you can only shift into real animals, not mythical ones!’

And Alex is like 'Magnus??????? Tapir is a real animal?????’
