‘Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin’ Is Expected To Air On 7th Of July 2022 On HBO Max.

Who is Bethany Young? I find it shady that we have never seen this girl’s face or any kind of flashback’s of her. The only time we heard her voice, it sounded exactly like the Sara Harvey we know now in Season 6.

Marlene and the producers have sworn that Alison will not have a twin in the show, which is stupid because the entire book series is about Alison and her sister Courtney. Uber A is Alison Dilaurentis. The only reason the four girls became friends in the first place was because Courtney stole Alison’s life and had to ditch her old popular friends and make new ones, which were the four liars and that’s why A tormented them.

The show has made tons of references of twins throughout the seasons, but since Alison won’t have a twin, that means someone else will.

I think it is going to be Bethany and Sara. I think the story about the twins in 2x13 is about them. My theory:

Sara Harvey = Real Alison Dilaurentis  & Bethany Young = Courtney Dilaurentis.

In the books, Alison was always jealous of Courtney because people liked her more than Alison. So she tricked her parents into believing that Courtney was crazy and a threat to Alison and they sent Courtney away to Radley and neglected her. The real Alison Dilaurentis was a bitch to everyone and hated by everyone. She sounds a lot like the old Sara Harvey before she went “missing”. The Bethany Young voice in the recording sounds kind and confused, reminds me a lot like Courtney and the “Alison” the girls knew. The Sara Harvey that shows up in Season 6 is very different than described by her friends to Hanna. Sure, she may have went through a lot, but their is still something very shady about her. Here is what I think happened…

I think that Bethany stole Sara’s life and tricked her into switching places, putting the real Sara Harvey in Radley where Bethany had been living all her life. I think the night Alison went missing, the real Sara found a way out of Radley, to seek out revenge on her sister and the real Bethany came out to Rosewood that night to face Sara. I think Charles knew the real Bethany and possibly grew up with her Radley and even had a close relationship/bond with her. Perhaps, Bethany told him all the stories about how Sara tormented her and tricked her parents into neglecting her and thinking she was crazy and when they switched places, he formed a fake friendship with Sara. I believe both Sara and Bethany were wearing the same outfit and the real Bethany was hit by the shovel by either one of the four girl’s that mistook her for Alison or maybe the real Sara and this greatly upset Charles because he cared for Bethany. Bethany is then pushed into the grave and buried alive by Melissa. This is when Charles takes Sara for his dollhouse, but when things don’t go as planned and the girls are rescued, Sara is released. However, I do not think she is the fragile girl she has been playing out to be. I think her being in that dollhouse for two years might has made her more crazy than she is leading on.

In 4x24, Alison told everyone her story on what happened the night she went “missing”. We see her running around town being a brat in her infamous yellow top, get hit with a rock in front of her mom, get buried alive by her mom, etc.

We are certain that two other girls were wearing the exact same outfit that night for unknown reasons. Cece Drake was confirmed as one of the females and Bethany Young was confirmed as the other when she was buried alive by Melissa. We know that Cece liked to impersonate Alison in the past. Key note: We never actually see Bethany’s face in the show and I think this is for a reason the producers aren’t saying. Sara Harvey is a girl who went missing the same night as Alison and was later seen in the dollhouse wearing that same infamous outfit, but we aren’t 100% how plays into that night quite yet. 

In the 1x01, you see the girls having alcohol. On the most important night in PLL history, the four liars are now intoxicated with an unknown amount of alcohol.

Secondly, Alison reveals that she gave the girls her mom’s sleeping medication so she could sneak out. She is seen stealing her mother’s prescription that is labeled, “sedative sleep aid” which could be anything from Ambien (Zolpidem) to Restoril (Temazepam), but it literally could be anything and doesn’t really matter because a sedative will have similar side effects.

A small lesson in pharmacology, I’m going to use Ambien as my example since it’s a very commonly prescribed sleeping medication and like I said, the side effects are similar throughout most sedatives.

Zolpidem may cause series side effects, including:

You may get up out of bed while not being fully awake and do an activity that you do not know you are doing. The next morning, you may not remember that you did anything during the night. That is in bold on the medication guide. Reported activities include: driving a car (“sleep driving”), sleep walking, making and eating food, talking on the phone, having sex. Symptoms include more outgoing or aggressive behavior than normal,confusion,agitation,hallucinations, suicidal thoughts or actions, memory loss, anxiety. You have a higher chance of doing these activities if you drink alcohol or take other medicines with zolpidem.

Now the reason I posted the above about all the medication information is because I think it plays an important part.

Let’s move on to Spencer. Spencer was also on medication. She was on an amphetamine (stimulant) of some sort, whether it be Adderall, Ritalin, etc.

We know that because it’s a stimulant and mixed with a sedative, the drug interaction cancel each other out, allowing her to be awake that night.

But because she also had the sedative and alcohol in her body, it can cause memory loss and other major side effects like listed above. So far, she is the only one confirmed that was fully awake that night out of the four girls. Not only is it confirmed by Alison, which isn’t really a reliable witness based on Alison’s track record for honesty, but we see it ourselves in 1x01, Melissa sees her with the shovel and arguing with Alison, and their is a photograph of Spencer chasing Alison. 

Spencer also has flashbacks/memories of chasing after Alison with a shovel and hitting her in the head.

Emily also has a similar flashback/memory. However, it deemed not real and only a hallucination created by trauma because Alison is not dead after all and Alison wasn’t hit with a shovel, but a rock.

Was it only a hallucination or real memories? We aren’t sure. Or perhaps it was a partial hallucination and she did hit someone, but it wasn’t Alison, just someone she mistook for Alison; after all, their were a total of 3… possibly 4 girls running around the same area with the exact same outfit and they all had similar appearances.

And it was confirmed that Bethany Young’s murder weapon was a shovel, but she died from suffocation. Alison also reassured that it wasn’t Spencer who hit her or Alison because Spencer was sound asleep in the barn, but is she telling the truth? Alison claiming that Spencer was sound asleep doesn’t make sense and add up with Melissa’s story or what we see in 1x01 when Aria wakes up and it’s dark outside, asking where is Ali and Spencer and Spencer walks into the barn all dazed and confused after wandering around outside saying she looked for Alison everywhere and she thinks she heard her scream. Spencer did not appear like she slept at all that night. Which means that either Spencer went back to sleep for a few short minutes and woke up again or never went back to sleep to begin with and Alison lied. After all, Alison is the only one alive who can testify on what happened that night and seems to breathe lies. The minute she had the opportunity to tell the truth to the police alongside the four liars, she spun a huge story about being kidnapped and forced the liars to play along.

In episode, 1x11 a lot is revealed.

First, this is where we are first shown a clue that Alison is alive and she tells us so plainly even though we do not even realize it.

“I was so scared that you were going to die… that’s why I came back. I didn’t care how dangerous it was, I had to see you.” -Alison

Hanna asks Alison about what happened to her after she left the barn and that they all want to know.

“You already do. The four of you combined. You remember more about that night than you think you do.” -Alison

Why would she imply that if they didn’t do anything that night except be intoxicated as well as drugged, causing them to simply sleep through the entire night like she claims in her Season 4 revelation? Apparently the four of them combined should have memories of that night on what happened. Perhaps, Alison didn’t know what would happen when she put those sleeping pills in their drinks. Maybe she didn’t know it would give them amnesia and maybe even worse, cause things like aggression or sleep walking? It was after all decision to she made at the last minute to sneak out of the house because her mom was forbidding her to leave all the sudden without reason. I just know their is more to the story involving the four girls and that night. Something that would allow this Uber A or Charles to hate the four girls so much and torment them all those years. Because if you calculate Alison’s timeline of that night along with Melissa’s story of her accidentally killing Bethany to protect Spencer, it doesn’t make sense and all add up. Someone is leaving something out. “A” doesn’t just torment you, kidnap you, and try to kill you multiple times because you’re simply high school friends with someone… that’s amateur and we all know it. Their is a real reason behind all of this.

Aria was the first to wake up that night and the least tortured out of the four liars. She also had a lot of clues to split personalities by using mirrors, keeping huge secrets, etc throughout the seasons. I think she is more involved in some way. I think if she is not on the A team, than all of those clues imply that Aria is guilty of something. 

In the books, Aria pushed an Alison look-alike off the roof of a building and killed her so I would not be surprised if Marlene decided to take that story and change it up a bit like she did with Mona being the first A.

The Pretty Little Liars 6A finale was more of a disappointment than I am to my parents.

We’re back and Mona has been driven crazy by her isolation pit so is rocking back and forth singing to herself. I love that because the actress Janel has an amazing voice the writers constantly get her to sing. I think we are all like Hanna in the choir room “Ok Mona we get it you can friggin’ sing.” Anyway she’s singing the popular lullaby “Hush little baby don’t say a word, Momma’s gonna buy you a mockingbird” and crying. Poor Mona. This kind of derails my Mona is shady and actually still on the A team theory I guess.

Theory: All this Mockingbird imagery (the cafe Ali was hiding out in New York was called Mockingbird Cafe, Ezra was teaching this book at Rosewood etc) makes me wonder whether we should be looking at the storyline of To Kill A Mockingbird for A’s motives. I’ve only read synopsises but from what I can tell the main character is thought of as a freak but he just wants friends and to protect the people he loves. Could Charles bringing the girls to the Dollhouse be his way of protecting them? Doesn’t really explain the torture I guess but this is possibly the only way I can imagine feeling sorry for Charles as Marlene has said so many times we will. 

Back to Ali. She’s arrived at her destination according to the satnav and low and behold the gas tank is empty. How many times must A have practiced that run to make sure the car conked out at exactly the right time? Forgetting she’s on a murder mystery drama and also that she’s ran away from the police she calls road side assistance but a man’s voice tells her to look in the trunk of her car. Creepy AF! Ali get’s out of the car and I’m like screaming NO YOU DUMB BITCH STAY IN THE CAR. It’s just like in horror films when they go investigate that noise they heard in the basement and you’re just watching like ‘you are going to die dumbass!’

Sidenote: The voice kind of sounds like it could be Bryon, Aria’s Dad. Chad Lowe who plays Byron directed this episode so perhaps he lent his voice to it or perhaps this is actually Charles’ voice not Bryon’s and the PLL writers are teasing us. OMG just had a realisation. The PLL writers are like the PLL fan’s very own A… they’ve literally been tormenting us for years (well you guys… I’ve only known this show existed since January).

Back to the hardy bros (honestly if you’re a true PLL fan and you don’t listen to Bros Watch PLL Too you need to sort your priorities out) aka Team Ezleb and they have a pretty funny exchange whilst catching up with Ali… Ezra’s driving too fast for Caleb’s liking. Ezra says “She’s still not moving?” Caleb replies “No she’s at a dead stop” Ezra comes back with “That’s a poor choice of words.” One liners on form tonight bravo Marlene.

Meanwhile Tanner is looking through a box full of Andrew Campbell’s confiscated possessions. She’s reading a very interesting diary entry which paints him as the culprit. He details his obsession with wanting to turn the girls on each other and fantasising about tormenting them. Now I’m torn about this because if it’s an A plant then snoozefest we’ve seen this happen a million times but if it’s real then woh maybe Andrew is A and that would be equally boring because he’s such an irrelevant 2D character. Also am I the only one who’s like ‘Do teenagers seriously keep paper diaries these days?’ I mean I know we’re supposedly in 2012 but still, pretty sure most teenagers use Twitter as their diary these days because the concept of privacy has been eroded away.

Anyway Toby busts in and says they have a lead on Andrew’s car which is around Tyler State Park (have your mind blown with this connection http://www.reddit.com/r/PrettyLittleLiars/comments/38dknp/tyler_state_park_where_the_dollhouse_is_is_in/) where Ali has broken down. Rosewood PD are on the case!

Ezra and Caleb pull up to Ali’s empty car. The trunk (we call it a boot in England) is open and her clothes are splayed out. “The signal stopped here” Caleb brings us up to speed. They find the welcome card Hanna was talking about. The girls voice from the dollhouse says “Put on the clothes and start walking. Leave everything else behind or they die.” Wow that escalated quickly - nothing says welcome more than a death threat. The messages are pretty cute in the card despite the fact A forced the Liars to write them. The boys run off into the woods after Ali basing their geographical decision on how Ali positioned her boots. Pretty smart!

We cut to Ali running through the trees part 3 (or maybe 4… I’ve lost count). Surprise surprise Charles has dressed her in the infamous yellow top. Sasha Pieterse who plays Ali must despise that top. Now 19, she’s been wearing the bluddy thing since she was 12. Charles definitely put in a bulk order for these bad boys - probably saw Ali and Bethany (and CeCe… shit 3 people in the same outfit just like in the Dollhouse) wearing it that night and Amazon Primed it so he could have his 100 yellow tops the next day then thought shit I need some girls to actually wear them. Guess I’ll go on a kidnapping spree then.

It’s midnight and the generator is down so the Liars spring into action and storm towards the playroom to look for a secret passage to A’s vault or ‘soul’ room. I’m still reluctant to say this A has a soul considering all the torture and the death threats and the kidnapping etc but we’ll roll with that name for now. Spencer tells them about the C.D toy she found in Ali’s room she says “Some of the toys were Ali’s and some were his” Aria adds “Feel like they grew up together.” 

Theory: Presumably Charles put those boxes in Ali’s room for the liars to unpack so why would he purposefully include some of his own? The same goes with the anagrams. Why aren’t the liars questioning who is giving them these clues and why? If A really is Charles then he obviously wants them to find out. Also if you took the show completely out of it’s social media vortex and watched it with no external information you would just think Spencer was barking up the wrong tree again because let’s face it when Spencer thinks someone is A they 100% are not. At this point the only reason I believe Charles is A is because Marlene King has gone on the record saying he is but she’s lied plenty in the past so why would this be any different?

The siren starts blaring as the generator kicks back in but Emily finds a vent for the Liars to crawl through. Let me get this straight. You’ve been tortured for a month straight, been gassed several times but you’re still willing to crawl through an air vent despite not knowing where it leads? Emily Fields you are a girl after my own heart. Who’s the weakest link now hey bitch?

So they’re in the vault and Emily’s like “A does have a soul.” They watch the home video of Mrs D with a baby girl and two boys, possibly twins but more likely brothers and A is watching them. We get a bit self-referential when Spencer looks up to the camera and says “Game On Charles.” She steps back and burns the film reel by holding it down. Surely a tech genius like A has several digital back ups though right?

Getting no reaction from Charles because he’s too preoccupied with Ali being almost in his grasp, Aria says “Let’s torch this place.” So they start burning things like dolls and the crib. Smart move girls considering you’re locked in this room. A is clearly torn between going after Ali or saving his precious room but we see him get up from his desk so he’s clearly going for one of them.

Cut to Ali looking sheepish waiting to be kidnapped. She shits herself when a twig snaps (classic horror) but it’s just Caleb and Ezra. Sasha’s scared faces are on point in this episode. She manages to do loads of different faces to convey the same emotions in her scenes this episode so props to her - great actress.

Back in the vault the Liars are realising it probably wasn’t the smartest of moves to start a blazing fire in a small room with lots of flamable items. Aria suggests they find a blanket to put it out. Erm not sure what experience you’ve had at putting out fires Aria but let me tell you a blankets not going to cut it this time love. 

Emily suggests using the curtains but when they tug them down they come face to face with A. It’s pretty creepy. By the looks of things his control room is behind this window next to the vault. Also throwback to the silence of the lamb pit earlier with Mona, it looks like A is now wearing a bit of a hannibal lector mask under that hoodie.

In a last ditch attempt to get Charles to cave the liars start throwing everything into the fire. Aria gets sassy “Say goodbye to your soul” - for the last time Marlene we get it, you want us to see A’s human side well spoiler alert that’s not going to happen. 

It works, A caves and pushes his emergency fire button to activate sprinklers and unlock all the doors. I love the fact that this mass torturer follows health and safety regulations. What a responsible kidnapper he is. The girls make a break for it and go off to find Mona.

Back in the woods Ali hears the alarm so Team CAZRALI (I’m not letting it go) go and investigate where the smoke is coming from. 

The Liars find Mona in the hole and after some ugly crying and pleading the girls decide she’s probably been through enough without leaving her to burn to death. They grab a rope ladder and next thing we know they are running down the corridor towards a ladder which presumably leads to the exit. 

Sidenote: How on earth did Charles get Mona down there in the first place unless he held a gun to her head and forced her to climb down?

So the girls are banging on the exit door coughing and spluttering. The guys are trying to break it open. Caleb looks like he gives up so Ali gets in there and it flings open (girl power) and amongst all the smoke comes rushing out the scared Liars. It’s a beautiful shot of them each running to their OTP (controversial subject I know). Hanna runs to Caleb, Aria to Ezra and Emily to Alison - all hugging each other as if their lives depended on it (ironic). Ezra says to Aria “I thought I’d lost you” and Hanna says to Caleb “Don’t ever let me go” to which he replies“Never.” This genuinely had me in tears. 

The police arrive and Spencer (who is holding poor Mona at the moment) leaps into Toby’s arms for a passionate kiss. She says “We know who it is. We have a name” and Toby replies with the creepiest line of the night “It’s Andrew babe. And we’re gonna get him.” Just take a second to let that sink in. In fact go watch it on repeat a few times and see if you agree that Toby calling Spencer babe is hands down the most disturbing thing about this episode!

Just when everyones all loved up and relieved a cop shouts “Hey there’s another girl down here.” A female cop (I guess to be sensitive to the situation) goes and finds the other blonde hostage and asks for her name. The girl hesitates looking like she might say Alison (or Bethany depending on who she’s been role playing) but she stutters “Sarah. I’m Sarah Harvey”

HOLY CRAP. If you remember Sarah Harvey is the girl that went missing the day after Ali. That means she’s been locked in the dollhouse for near enough 3 years right? So the press surrounding Dre Davis playing a character called Kimberley Brown was a B.S. way of throwing us off the scent. I don’t know whether I feel betrayed or impressed but either way I’m intrigued to see how Sara plays into all of this. Or is she just an innocent victim who was in the wrong place at the wrong time? I highly doubt it.

Sarah is carried out on a stretcher. Melodramatic much? She was tottering around serving meals an hour ago. Mona’s being checked over by the paramedics and the gang are reunited. They remind us who Sarah Harvey is because for most of you that random plot point was thrown in half way through Season 4 so no one would blame you if you were like who the fuck is this girl if she’s not Bethany Young?

Emily then goes over to Ali and things are a little icy considering they basically just made out 5 minutes ago. Emily thanks Alison for saving their lives (no biggie) and Ali reaches for Emily’s hand. They’re about to have a moment which will break twitter and set the Emison fandom on fire when Emily says “Ali, who is Charles Dilaurentis?”

And that’s it. We are left with a blank-faced Ali who we know from the 6x02 promo has no idea who Charles Dilaurentis is. I don’t know about you guys but I’m seriously jazzed for this season and so-called Summer of Answers.

WOW what an episode… I mean excuse me while I check myself into Radley. OH WAIT RADLEY IS FRIGGIN CLOSED! So not only has I. Marlene King driven me insane with (in my opinion) the best Pretty Little Liars episode of all time but now there isn’t even a mental hospital for me to check myself in to. Good job Mar! 

Ok I’m going to jump right into this PLLarmy because it’s been a long few months of PLL-less existence. So Season 6… here we go:

Previously on Pretty Little Liars…(aka the best 5 words in the english language at this point)

So after recapping the important bits from 5x25 (Girls get kidnapped, Ali is chain gang af, Andrew is bad, Caleb has a hackathon, Charles is A and apparently has a ‘soul’ etc) we just jump straight into the GASP OUT LOUD moments. We see the scene of the girls escaping the Dollhouse from last episode but this time from the perspective of another prisoner. Another Ali look alike with dirty blonde hair in the infamous yellow top (seriously, did Mandi Line just stock up on those things in Season 1?).  She’s drawing a sun on the wall (doesn’t look like she’s seen the real thing for a few years poor girl) when she hears the Liars running towards the exit. She goes over to inspect but instead of trying to escape with them she just slinks back into her dark room and sits on her bed. Behind her we see she’s been keeping a tally of the days she’s been locked up there… SORRY DIDN’T REALISE I WAS WATCHING A SAW MOVIE?!

We cut back to the scene of the liars busting out the door and running towards a tall fence surrounding the grounds. Before becoming human kebabs Spencer alerts them to the high voltage sign and Charles chooses to rub salt in the wound by being a patronising asshole and playing the song “Don’t Fence Me In” over the speakers. 

Quick sidenote: Charles clearly doesn’t want to kill these girls, he’s had ample opportunity over the last 5 seasons so I would have hedged my bets he’d shut the electricity off and started climbing that fence to freedom.

They all realise there’s no way out but Aria is quick to add “I’m not going back down there” and right on Q the doors electronically slam shut leaving the girls stranded. Talk about a rock and a hard place… well a locked door and an electric fence to be more specific! Hanna then addresses the camera with possibly the best line of the night (and there are some cracking ones)…

“You may be a dude but you’re still a bitch” - I mean this had me in stitches. Sassy Hanna FTW!

Charles having a bit of a tantrum about this shuts off the music and the lights leaving the Liars (and Princess Peach… I mean Mona) in the dark. They ignore this power play and jump right in to discussing what Spencer knows about Charles since she was, ya know, like 3 inches away from him AND DIDN’T EVEN TRY TO TAKE OFF HIS MASK (i’m not over it)! Mona asks Spencer if she recognised anything about him, his smell even? Sassy Emily replies “She’s not Jenna” THESE GIRLS ARE ON FORM TONIGHT! Spencer says there was something familiar about him like the feeling you get when you meet a penpal, a cousin or someone you knew when you were really little. 

Theory: what if he’s all 3? He’s been cyber stalking and texting the girls for years, he is basically a modern day penpal (a demented torturous one nonetheless), he’s obviously someone she knew when she was little because they made a point of telling us the Hastings use to go to the Campbell Apple Farm. As for the cousin thing, well I’m still not sure how I think Charles fits into the Dilaurentis family but either way he will be some sort of distant or implied relation to the Hastings I’m sure.

So the girls move swiftly on from who their potential torturer is to where they could possibly be geographically and how long they’ve been missing for. Hanna sarcastically remarks they could be in the Amazon (which I hope to God all you younger fans know is the world’s largest tropical rainforest in South America not the company that ships you DVD boxsets overnight… you do remember DVDs right?). Spencer whips out a bit of astronomy to point out they must still be in the Northern Hemisphere. “I was saying that facetiously” brainiac Hanna replies (just to remind us that she’s not dumb anymore… we got it Marlene, we got it). “Wow that’s an 11 letter word Hanna” Mona says in disbelief but really she’s thinking “Did Hanna suddenly figure out she was smart when I supposedly died? I’ve been saying that shit for years, I’m taking the credit!”. I imagine just off-camera Spencer is writing that word down to whip out at the next game of scrabble she has with Toby.

I’m just going to leave this here… no judging. I had to look up the spelling!

So we have a little montage of the girls being locked out in this prison-esque courtyard for what looks like 1 night and 1 day against all the elements - rain, storms, sweltering heat.

And then we cut back to harsh cold night again and the girls discuss how long they can survive without food (about 3 weeks) and water (some people can only go a few days Spencer informs us). They play who’s the thirstiest by describing what lengths they’d go to to get some form of drink - Aria says she’d drink her own pee. Hanna would suck on a pee ice cube but Emily wins because she’d lick sweat off a jock strap…

Something quite important happens next when the girls are all on the verge of crumbling. Aria says “I don’t know how much longer I can handle this” and Mona gives us a glimpse into just how badly she’s been tortured these past few months when she says “You can handle this Aria… we all can.” What she’s really saying is “You think this is bad? You just wait.”

The next morning the girls wake up to find the door is open for them to re-enter the dollhouse (so for those of you keeping track of time they’ve been without food and water for 1 day and 2 whole nights). They hesitate (as they should) and debate what to do but conclude that the punishment is over and that they should stick together. 

Sidenote: I think the concept of them sticking together will be really important in future episodes this season because as you’ll see later on I think Charles changes methods of torture to try and turn them against each other - to divide and conquer. But for now they are very much together and strong.

They are walking down the lighted pathway when the lights go off and we get our first glimpse of Charles this episode and of course he’s throwing a smoke bomb to gas the shit out them. That’s so Charles. But don’t worry he remembered Monalison’s present from 5x25, the gas mask, so he can steal her away.

Theory: Now I know this is going to sound ridiculous but there’s something about Mona’s reaction that just doesn’t sit right with me. It seems - dare I say it - planned. She looks like she’s waiting for Charles to put the mask on her and she doesn’t really struggle at all when Charles grabs her. When the smoke clears are we to assume she’s too shocked and weak to even try and fight him off? Hmm I just don’t trust her after this scene.

And the title sequence rolls… At this point “Got a secret can you keep it?” is the soundtrack to my life. Also when it gets to “Cause 2 can keep a secret if 1 of them is dead” at this point I find it hard to stop myself from shouting BUT NOONE IS ACTUALLY DEAD. Anyway moving swiftly on…

We come back to possibly the creepiest scene in PLL history. All 4 liars are lying naked and unconscious on morgue tables… FRIGGIN MORGUE TABLES! 

Confused and more than just a little disturbed they all sit up. Spencer says “I feel like my brain is being pulling out through my eye sockets” meanwhile Emily is relieved to find A hasn’t harvested their organs. “Emily, we’d be dead” Hanna remarks, Em comes back with “You only need 1 kidney” . The one liners just keep on coming! 

They take it in turns to check themselves out, make sure both tits are still perky and in place. Then in classic PLL fashion, Detective Spencer (the smart one just incase you didn’t catch that sarcasm) comes to the conclusion that A wanted them to look dead to send a message to their families… to stop looking for them. Because of course someone looking really dead proves they are dead… *cough* except for *cough*Mona*cough*Ian*cough*probably Garrett & Mrs D at this point too. 

In all seriousness though this scene strikes me as very self-referential and a bit of a *wink* to the audience from Marlene. It’s poking fun at the fact that no one is ever actually dead even when they seem it on this show. I kind of love Marlene for throwing that subtle jibe in there but it also makes me wonder who else we’ll see return from the grave.

Back to the action where Mona dressed as a candy striper (is that the right term? I’m english so although I’m familiar with the outfit from various shows the name is lost on me) offers the girls aspirin and juice. At this point I’d be like “HELLS NO AM I ACCEPTING DRUGS FROM CHARLES WHO JUST LAID ME UP ON A MORGUE TABLE LOOKING DEAD AF.” Mona makes it clear she’s back in character as Ali but admits she’s as scared as they are. We learn they’ve only been unconscious for a few hours and Mona has been in her room the whole time. The female voice (which we can now assume belongs to the other blonde prisoner we saw in the first scene) comes over the speaker system “please return to your rooms and find your surprises.” Mona turns and stares directly into A’s camera and says “No” and then after A’s message is repeated she refuses again.

The 3 chimes blare out over the speakers and Mona says rather redundantly “3 chimes means we have to go to our rooms… or else” - well no shit sherlock! I just imagine Charles is sitting behind his creepy desk like “I just said that TWICE you dumb bitch… are you deaf to everything but coded jingles now? Jeez, I’m torturing morons.”

So the girls chase after Monalison clutching their morgue death-sheets. They quiz her on what “or else” means. At this point surely they’d just stop asking and assume it’s some bad shit but Marlene clearly wants us to know what A has in store for Mona so she reveals “It steals you in the night and puts you in the hole.” Dum dum dum… what’s the hole? Oh you’ll soon find out my little liars.

Theory: That’s right I’m back to this #sorrynotsorry but this scene adds to my ‘Mona is being shady’ evidence because she comes strutting in to the morgue as Ali. She seems to have very much learned her lesson from being stuck outside for 2 days (and the months of torture before) and knows that she shouldn’t piss Charles off. Then within a minute she’s disobeying him which is fair enough, you go girl, but she clearly knew that would lead to some sort of punishment so why then does she act so surprised and fold when he threatens her? Also it seems like she’s very aware that she’s probably going to be taken to ‘the hole.’ Is that her way of telling the liars where to find her? Could she be in on the game and is therefore just trying to look more like a victim to the Liars? It would be really dark and twisted if that was the case. Just imagine if Mona never stopped being A, she just joined forces with the other big bad in Rosewood. Considering what’s about to unfold it’s highly unlikely but just a thought…

Irrelevant sidenote: Had a little déjà vu here of Troian & Shay donning bed sheets in the brilliant short film “Immediately Afterlife” (see photo below) . Interestingly it was written and directed by Kyle Hasday and Matt Stewart who use to be production assistants on PLL. Shout out to the awesome Bros Watch PLL Too podcast with Troian this week for that bit of trivia. This is actually quite sentimental to me because I saw this short film a few years ago on Kickstarter before I even knew PLL existed (thank God for Netflix). So this scene was not only déjà vu but also freakishly nostalgic.

Back to the episode. Deciding it’s best not to anger Charles any more they all file off to their bedrooms. They turn and give each other this one last longing look before going in.

Aria hesitates and is the last to enter but all doors soon slam shut before a chorus of pleas and screaming comes from the rooms. As best as I can tell Spencer shouts “No, no, no” Emily shouts “Don’t do this” Hanna just screams and then Aria shouts “No please don’t do this” (good try Aria but manners won’t do you any favours in the dollhouse). They all descend into blood-curdling screaming - the kind more regularly found in a horror movie not a teen show on ABC Family. 

Theory: What do you guys think is happening when they scream? There’s got to be someone in each of their rooms right? Because why the sudden outcry unless there was actually a physical threat? I imagine there’s an A minion donning a mask and black hoodie in their rooms pouncing on them, forcing them into their pilot-retro clothing and chaining/wiring them to some electro-shock desks for the weird psychological torture to transpire (I’ll elaborate more on this when we come to the promo for next week’s episode 6x02). 

Three Weeks Later…I have heard the writers say countless times that we live in a hyperreality in Rosewood and so the timeline, although helpful for big plot points, is ultimately irrelevant BUT just thought I’d point out the fun fact we spent 2 WHOLE SEASONS (from 3B to end of 5A) in November 2011 but in less than 1 minute we basically skipped a month. PART 2 COMING UP…

Okay so this is the first sneak peak to Pretty Little Liars after the time jump (so when they’re five years older).

Marlene has said the following:

The liars’ wardrobe, hair and makeup reflects “where they are professionally in their lives,”

• “The girls lived a free life for 5 years. They have not been tortured or tormented by this anonymous cyber bully. They’re taking yoga now, they’re breathing. They have more time for extracurricular activities because they’re not being chased by an anonymous stalker.”
• “We made that decision so they would have a year to finish school and firmly root themselves into their desired careers”
• They’re "not different people,” but just “more grown-up versions of themselves.”
• “They still suffer from post-traumatic stress at times and we will hear as we go into the next season some stories about how what they’ve been through has still haunted them and affected the decisions that they make”

Things to take from this:

• Hanna’s wearing a ring - is she engaged/married to Caleb?
• Aria is still there, meaning nothing will be revealed about Aria being connected to A somehow in the summer finale (this is for all the Aria is A theorist, which includes me)! But don’t forget, the show is confirmed to make another season and a half, meaning they will have to have a strong ongoing storyline other than the girls simply working in their jobs. This means Aria (or anyone else for that matter) being connected to A somehow allows the writers to have enough material to make something out of that season and a half!
• Alison is not in the picture! Where could she be?
  

Okay so we’re all pretty familiar with this logo

 But look how the “CA” is designed in a way that they are joined together! 

So what if Charles and Aria are working together?

Perhaps Aria is Red Coat!

It would explain all the Aria is A and Charles is A theories

It would also give the producers enough material to create the other half of the series

Okay so I knew I recognised that design on Paige’s top (which she was wearing in the most recent pretty little liars episode)

I mean the design is so identical it can’t be uncanny

Thing is Aria as been seen carrying the kisses symbol very frequently

And she doesn’t just wear it on her clothes

But Aria isn’t the only one wear who carries the Kisses/Lips theme

And before you think the theme of lips and kisses doesn’t get any stronger, just remember how does A likes to end their messages every now and then…

It’s even in the introduction

Aria is the one usually carrying the kisses/lips theme so are the producers hinting that she’s A? Or are the messages from A tat end in kisses specifically sent from Aria? Many of us were thinking that the team could be separated by a Black and Red team, but what if its different? What if its more centered around the theme of kisses/lips! After all, there seems to be a lot of emphasis on the symbol…

As I mentioned earlier before I am currently re-watching the new episode (and when i say i watching again after i originally watch it, i literally meant that)! Okay, so lets skip the introduction and get straight into it:

In the first 4 minutes of the episodes you see Mona on her bed reading a book! This book was titled “Le Grand Meaulnes”

It’s a french novel (which makes sense because, as we all know, Mona is great at french)! I did some research and this is what I uncovered:

• The main character disappears (Alison)
• The main character goes to a “nightly and magical costume party” where he met the girl of his dream

  

• The girl lives with her father and brother (Aria)
• The guy as one intention and that is to find the girl he as fallen in love with (When Ezra was A and wanted to hunt Alison)
• The narrator of the book became a school teacher (Ezra duh)
• The narrator comes across a handwritten diary (Alison wrote a diary)

  

So this was basically a sum up of the similarities between that novel and the show itself! As I’ve mentioned before, the producers don’t just add these little things for nothing and the similarities can’t just be uncanny! The novel puts a lot of attention on three characters: Ezra, Aria and Alison. Are the producers hinting something/foreshadowing future events! Could there be more to the link with Alison, Aria and Ezra? Feel free to let me know what you guys think! :)

Okay, so we all remember that recent episode where Mona and Aria have a conversation in the toilets, well this is one of the things Mona said…

Now that A is “finish[ed]” with Mona, A plans to next kill the girls in the next 2 and ½ seasons!

Btw I literally just finished watching 5x12 and I loved it so much that I’m watching it all over again right now. Yes, I know I’m obsessed. No, my obsession will never end.

So, as I am sure many of you are as well, I am spending my summer holidays watching back to back episodes of PLL. But I re-watching random episodes not just for the entertainment but to see if I can stumble upon any overlooked, frees clues. So instead of just rambling on I’m just going to get straight into it:

I was watching Season 5, Episode 2 and in the scene when Aria was laying down on her bed thinking about Shauna’s death, I noticed that Aria was reading a particular book. I immediately paused the show and took a mental note of the title (Paradise Lost).

I then typed it into google and.. well I’ve bullet pointed the rest so you can absorb this information faster:

• Paradise Lost centres around the story of Adam and Eve (Ezra and Aria) and how they committed sins (murder?) by eating from the forbidden tree. Adam mainly committed sins due to is love for Eve (this links quite well wit previous theories about how The Great Gatsby links with Ezra and Aria)
• Paradise Lost is also about the separation of Good and Bad (Heaven and Hell) and in that exact scene Aria was wearing this top which as You’re No Good written on top of it (suggesting that Aria is on the bad side, maybe?).

• The book also focuses on Eve (Aria) having many dreams and in that exact scene Aria was having dreams/thoughts about when she killed Shauna.

• After checking out google images I immediately found the similarities with the drawings about Paradise Lost and the drawings Bethany Young did of Mrs DiLaurentis! And as we all know the producers like to give away subtle hints here and there! After seeing how similar the drawings are I realised that this can’t be a mere coincidence.

Feel free to expand upon this theory (credit would be really appreciated tho)! If I am not mistaken, I think I read somewhere (when I was searching about Paradise Lost) that there was a war or something, which links with other theories I’ve read before about there being two teams (pro Alison/against Alison)(Red/Black) and this links with the scene when Mona’s talking to a group of people about how they can bring Alison down (in other words, she’s building up an army) and even Melissa and Paige mentioned that something bad and big is planned to happened to Alison.

But hopefully this gets you guys thinking about more theories! If you did expand upon mine ten feel free to message me and let me know because I would love to check it out :)

Marlene and co have said we’ve sort of seen A.D before and my theory is that it alludes to us having seen A.D in flashbacks and stories.

The Alison we know now is nothing like the girl from those flashbacks but someone else is. A.D is just like flashback Alison. Collects and uses secrets to control and manipulate people. Also had a streak for wanting people to tell the truth like when she wanted Aria to tell her Mom about her dad and Meredith.

I’m stuck with it this long and I’m going to keep with it. Marlene has also said the show will come full circle and what better way than for flashback Alison to be A.D. I can only hope.

The liars get their places searched and phones confiscated by Tanner who is now in charge as Marco has excused himself.

Aria get a caught as black hoodie by the liars and is banished from the group

Spencer changes her outfits a lot and seduces Toby. Spencer twin vibes ? A little but it isn’t my favorite theory. This bugged me because he’s been a widower for less than a month. Just..no.

Emison finally went to the kissing rock as a couple.

Haleb got married

Mona has the game and I’m sure she will be the one to figure out who A.D is

Everyone except Mona gets laid in a montage style scene

The game is now CHOOSE or LOSE. One must plea for the others to go free.

Any one else think Alisons personality is missing ? She was the center of the mystery that started those whole show and now she’s part of the story with the Emison baby but that’s it. I think I compare her to flashback Ali who had a personality that stood out. Alison seems like a background character now. Just my opinion ! I know many may not agree.

A.D likes Aria.  Major Jason vibes only because of this! And they mentioned Ali went to see him in NY

I hate that I watch promos and read spoilers but I do. The promos give away all the big stuff. I already know what happens with Aria and cops for example.

There’s a lot of parallels for Mary and Spencer IF There’s a Spencer Twin. Seducing the twins man..Mary slept with Peter and it’s possible Spencer twin slept with Toby.

2 episodes left and we don’t have much new info. None at all on A.D.  newest fact is aria once filled out a report on Ezra. All original ships are coming together. I dislike how all of them are coming together, Emison is together because of this baby born out of a strange psycho ok with rape. Ali was unconscious and inseminated. That’s insanely rapey! I’m just floored that it’s not being called that. Don’t get me wrong, those two are adorable as fuck together. Wicked chemistry and some crazy history, there’s love but this baby isn’t some happy accident. I wish they had been flirting this whole season and finally gotten together or something. My rant on this is done now.

I’m disappointed we are not getting more mystery. The ships were never my favourite thing about the show I watch it for the mystery and I just hope the end is satisfying and that I’m going to rewatch these episodes and see things are clues one day that seem like nothing to me now. I hope to be floored. You know what they say though..hope breeds eternal misery.

I’m still for an Alison twin. It would come full circle. Alison as A. And the Alison we’ve seen with Emily is really the twin, possibly Bethany?   I think they will keep Emison so an Alison twin would make sense. Flashback Alison is A.D. The Alison that returned has always been Bethany the twin. We have seen A.D before but only in flashbacks.

8 hours!!! so excited! I’ve been travelling all day to visit my mum with my kids hoping time will move faster but it’s still so far away! #itsnolie #FacetoFAce

So I have been rewatching the episodes IMK said to rewatch and 4x24 ‘A is for Answers’ (the one with the girls and Ali in New York, when Ezra got shot) is on that list. After watching it again I got the sense of A being Jason, it’s the way A walked through the window he smashed to get into The Mocking Bird cafe where the girls were talking to Ali and also the way A walked after jumping from one roof to another. I don’t know why and I don’t know how it could work but it just felt like Jason.
I also think that Ken or Veronica killed Mrs D and Charles stumbled across her body and buried her. This means that Charles was not the A in New York so maybe Charles is just a pawn in a bigger game. He is the active A atm but it’s not for the wrong reasons! He has done bad things yes but I don’t think he hurt anybody, I think he just tormented the girls until he found out he was related to Ali and then all he wanted was to protect his sister.
I don’t think Jason is A either but I have always believed everyone in Rosewood who is relevant has been on the A team at some point.
This means Marlene hasn’t lied as Charles is A! She chooses her words very carefully and when she has said “Charles is A” and “there is only one active A at the minute” she means that Charles is that active A and is therefore A.

Ezra believed that A was Shana or it was Shana who shot him but that was another red herring as I definitely get a sense of manliness with the A on the roof!

Anyway, I’m now going to sleep. I’m so excited about the episode tonight (it’s 1:40am on Tuesday here in the UK) and idc anymore who Charles is I’m not bothered about any of my theories being wrong or right I just want a damn good story and those answers and the reveal we have been promised!

I’ll most likely check tumblr again later before the episode but I’ll not post (unless reblogging) until after the finale! Ezra has always been my main suspect for A, along with Byron’s twin Scott posing as Byron at one point.

I still believe Ezra is A/ Charles but the only think making me think it isn’t him is Aria’s reaction in next week’s sneak peek, she doesn’t seem that cut up about it, if it was Ezra she would be. That and the fact that Ezra found the girls with Caleb and Ali when they were in the dollshouse but I made a post about how he could still be A and outside the dollshouse.

If Ezra is Charles/ A then I don’t believe that Charles is the person on the roof in the sneak peek.

Then to contradict that statement, Marlene King and cast of PLL have all said that this is it, this is the reveal and we will get answers and Charles is A which means that is Charles on the roof.

But then they have lied to us before so I don’t know if I 1000% believe this is A and the reveal.

But then on the other hand, would they risking losing fans by majorly lying to us all again just to get us to watch, especially now we all know Ali knows who it is and the girls know who it is too from the sneak peek and what they all said, particularly Spencer. I don’t think they could have the actors portraying the girls dragging it on and on and never mentioning the name of A until we get the actual reveal.

So: I believe next week is the reveal. It is Charles and he is A. He is the estranged DiLaurentis child and we will see his face and hear his voice and we will get answers, I’m trusting in the writers.

I’m not 1000% sure it’s Ezra anymore mainly due to.Aria’s reaction in the sneak peek.

I’m at that point now where Idc who it is, if I’m wrong or right I just want the story to be good and to make sense.

My second theory is that Ian is Charles. Yes him and Ali had a thing, same as her and Ezra did but in all honesty the series has touched upon incest before. If Charles didn’t realise at the time Ali was his sister and she had no idea about the missing brother then it’s possible, it’s happened in this show with Melissa and Jason and it happens everyday in life, to me that would be more realistic than some phoney cop out reveal.

I think Red Coat is Jenna, I think she originally spied on the girls in this outfit or wanted to freak them out but it led to more. I also think Black Widow is the same person but realise there is a flaw with this as Jenna was at Wilden’s funeral with BW Sat right behind her, I believe she is the one with a twin. Her twin was the one who got burnt whilst Jenna was blinded.

I was going to say I probably won’t post anymore between now and the finale but I’d be a liar as I know I will lol.
I just can’t resist reading theories, reblogging some and writing more of my own. This show has consumed 5 years of my life now so I know I can’t stay away from theories.

So I’m just going to randomly put down my thoughts on 6x09 here, they are a bit jumbled but I need this release!

The mums were brilliant, funny and right on but I found they were irresponsible af getting drunk instead of keeping a proper eye on their daughters! Their confrontation with Rhys could have been better, why didn’t they go after him or corner him and question him? Why not search for Kenneth, he was obviously there not long before they got there, I think A/Charles has him! Where was Jason as well? Does A/Charles have him too? Maybe a family reunion type thing in next weeks, looks like from the promo its in Radley!
There was a window right there in the basement, they could have moved the shelling unit if it wasn’t bolted down or held one mum up to get to the window to smash it and get out leading to her going back to the front of the house and letting them out or alerting the police.

How did the girls get out of the barn? Is there a back entrance? A window out of view of the mums?

I felt like the parents may all be the actual targets and A/Charles has been doing this to the girls to get to the parents, get them all in one place and because the dads are absent once again then he was just happy to trap the mums or was it just to keep them out of the way?

I’d definitely watch a spin off with the mums, funny af!

I still don’t trust Sara, her saying “whatever happens I really care about you” to Emily was shady af!

Why mention Lucas, Jenna and Noel and we don’t see them?!

Why all the red cloaked people? Obviously one was red coat and one was A (the hoody on underneath) but why so many red riding hoods and wolves and what was with all those text references to little red riding hood and wolves and goats, etc? Confusing af!

Clark being an undercover cop, I didn’t really see that one coming, I thought maybe Clark and Rhys were maybe private investigators or something but now we know he is undercover I think Rhys is his informant, it’s just convenient for A/Charles that he looks like a DiLaurentis! I think Rhys was suspicious of his employer before but more so after Hanna and Spencer went to see him! I think Clark targeted Aria as she likes to talk about her problems to strangers rather than those close to her, if the police had been watching the girls enough they would know this, she possibly feels better speaking to a stranger about stuff as they aren’t so connected to everything like everyone else close to her!

Haleb & Spoby feels! Yay!
Ezria are supposed to be end game so do they get back together in the time jump?
Where was Mona? Could she be the person in the red Cloak in the sneak peek of next weeks episode that Aria sees in the mirror? She has always known more than she lets on so I think it’s her not red coat coming to take the girls away before Tanner can question them and possibly put them I protective custody, she knows where they need to go!

I really don’t want Charles to die/ kill himself, I really hope he doesn’t, poor Ali looks traumatised!!!

Did she actually say “it’s you” as we heard in the promo for last nights episode or will she say that next week?!
I think she looked disgusted not shocked or scared, more like wtf “oh my god” and then hesitation like it wasn’t what she wanted, that’s not who she was expecting to see but she definitely knows who it is!
I know she mentioned a Dr to Emily before and we still don’t know who this beach hottie is for definite but I don’t recall her and Wren ever having any scenes together or any interaction so I don’t think it’s Wren, yes they could have met or have history and we haven’t seen it but that would be a total cop out in my opinion!

I actually ship Lorison, I like Lorenzo but it was sketch af that he turned up at the real prom knowing they were there and also Sara turning up, I don’t think she went via the barn at all either!

Such a good job keeping the girls safe thereRosewood High, that one teacher told Aria to gather up her friends and leave but they didn’t enforce it so they weren’t that bothered obviously, plus the layout was crazy af too, let’s have weird winding mazes, hidden recesses and crazy mirrors and trees everywhere and call it an enchanted forest, not dangerous at all!

I think from what I can see from the promo and the sneak peek for 6x10 this is what we may possibly get:

Mona will spirit the girls away to the Carrisimi group offices, they will start watching whatever is on the screen which is controlled by the interactive sci fi themed space table and it will be a video set up of Raldley showing Ali, Kenneth and Jason all in separate rooms there only Jason and Ken are unconscious, Ali isn’t, they see A/Charles interacting with Ali, he shows her text messages and possibly makes her send messages to the girls, she asks him why and he explains the whole story, Mona at this point realises along with Spencer where they are and so they head to Radley leaving the video playing. They get to Radley and start to search for Ali and Jason, tbf I don’t think they care about Ken lol. They hear Ali talking to someone and this is when we hear Charles’s voice, he mentions red coat and Mona has a flashback and realises who RC is from Radley, she snaps out of the flashback and is about to tell the girls when RC herself (also BW as I think they are the same person) appears, Mona says “I know who you are” and she takes off her mask, the girls react and then run when they hear Ali get angry or scream, RC disappears, they round the corner to see A/Charles near the room he is keeping Ali in he hears them coming and turns, they see him, we get the reveal he runs, they go to go after him but Ali begs them to help her first, they get her out, she starts filling in the gaps and they run to find Charles, they find him on the roof as we have seen, they try to talk him down and I believe he will step off the ledge and die, we will see his body being moved with the girls, Jason and Ken being checked over by paramedics and the police questioning them, cue reunion with their other halfs, they tell the police who RC is but she has didn’t he’d the RC outfit and is stood in the shadows watching before taking off, Clark and Rhys turn up, they find out about the mums being at the house and they get saved by the police who go to collect evidence (the whiskey which I believe was spiked to take Ken) and find the mums, they are all reunited but crying as they recall Charles’s story, the time jump starts but I believe it will go to them all meeting up after they have graduated from college and they all have jobs, they have a flashback about Charles’s funeral and then get a text message cue the cliffhanger ending ready for their return to Rosewood for the time jump season 6b which starts in January!

As for who is Charles or RC/ BW I have no idea anymore and I don’t care, I just want the story to be good, to make sense and to explain everything! I want to be shocked and to cry and be holding my breath, I want to be visibly shocked and shaken and upset and to be on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Please don’t disappoint us, 5 long years, I need this to be everything I’ve hoped for, we all do!

I have faith, just hope this week doesn’t drag!!!
