A playful mix of prints today. I’m pretty cautious when it comes to mixing prints, but using a monochrome palette makes it less daunting. I just wish the striped camisole was a little shorter and more fitted, I think that would improve the overall silhouette. I’d say I need to learn to sew, but I don’t think I need another expensive hobby. All pieces are from Taking Shape in XL/24T (love those tall pants).
That’s it, Taking Shape has set the standard. Every. Single. One of their dresses I bought in the Christmas sales has functional pockets. I now have more dresses with pockets than pants with pockets. If you’re thinking “haven’t I seen that print before” you are correct, I love this print so much I bought the dress and the top.
Today we mourn the passing of my two weeks of Christmas/New Year leave. So I’m stepping back into work today in all black. This dress, while basic, is such an excellent wardrobe staple, also it has pockets. The dress (size XL) and necklace are both from Taking Shape.
