Finished this lil mama & baby polar bears under the northern lights. Graywash stuff (bears + scenery) is healed. Color in the sky and the pops of blue in the mountains/snow is fresh, as well as the white highlights that look very red bc of the blood lol.

The spirit of winter came to visit and it took the form of a large bear. Winter was gentle, and took the child riding upon its back and together they saw many sights overlooked by most. Castles of ice crystals, mosaics of frost. They explored weaving tunnels dug by arctic mice, and tasted the freshness of sugar snow. Then Winter held the child tight, sheltered from the bitter wind and set the child gently dreaming back into their bed.

I would like to raise awareness as an artist about the current and worsening climate crisis. So I am going to regularly post an animal, tree or environment I would like to see survive into the future but if we don’t change our ways will not make it for my child to enjoy in her adulthood. I am starting with Nanuk who I would like to see still on this planet in ten years time. Let’s change now, there are so many things we can do.
Shop local
support local farmers with good eco practices
plant a tree
grow veg
support your local wildlife trust
take a walk in nature
Vote green in elections
sign petitiions and write to your mp
If you are privileged enough to own your own home buy that heat pump, insulate and invest in solar panels
If you can afford a new car or live in a city buy electric or use public transport.
Just some things you can do so that we can all live in a thriving, diverse beautiful planet. Please don’t stop trying even if those with all the power and wealth won’t bother. #artistsforagreenfuture #saveourplanet #nanuk #polarbears #endangeredspecies #art #nomeart
