On A Date With Poly Morphous and Pan Pearlie
Pretending it’s Springtime (and that I understand writing about “dating” at all) with these silly drawings I did back in 2014-15 or so! AfterPM #2 it looks like Poly mustered up the courage to go on a springtime date with fellow forest dweller Pan Pearlie, and I think they had a good time, don’t you? ♡◝(꒡ ౪ ꒡)◜♡
It’s strange looking back, knowing that I made these at the tail end of a time where I was pushing myself way too hard with cons and comics jobs and heading into serious physical/mental burnout. Which becomes very obvious in the direction I ended up taking the series, haha. So these little vignettes are an echo of where I might have gone with Poly Morphous, if I hadn’t ended up digging into her sorta interior landscapes rather than actual storylines. I was realizing that this character was letting me write directly about my emotions in a way I’d never been able to do before, and accept mental illness as a part of me! But I’d still like to do more with Pan Pearlie andEnby Lamby one day :P
