Let’s play phantom-adaptation-mash-up, how would the ending change?
I’ll go first:
Leroux Erik / Kay Christine
They get married, and Erik is excited just to hold hands. Christine immediately goes into bang-the-skelly-man mode. Erik dies instantly.
Cherik / Leroux Christine
They get married. Have five kids. Cherik is the best stay-at-home-dad and husband ever. Christine becomes a world-famous opera singer.
Kerik / ALW Christine
Literally the exact same plot as the musical but he probably gets a black eye at some point (courtesy Christine), and some very bruised shins. Also Christine does not return the ring. She gets the hell out of there.
