Screenshot from one of my favorite scenes, starring Venus and the Runaway Five! Everyone has been fully animated except for one or two details (the drummer’s missing an arm!) and some effects like spotlights the Runaway Five sign.
By the way, is it just me or does the floor of the Chaos Theater look an awful like the famous Red Room from Twin Peaks? The similarities may go beyond mere zig-zag patterns:

Itoi has definitely see Twin Peaks before, but I can’t tell whether it was before or after he made Mother 2.
Perhaps this is a mystery that was never meant to be solved…

Guys you have no idea how exciting it is to just churn out baddie walk cycles all day. Hopefully this screenshot gives you a small idea, though. I need to be selective as I’m running out of room, so here’s an important question: What’s your favourite Earthbound enemy and why? They might just make it into the Baddie Parade!
