A selection of queer zines from my personal collection…

Travesti’ by various anonymous contributors chronicles the lives of transvestites and trans women in Chile.

For Everard’ by Anthony Malone commemorates the forgotten victims of a 1977 fire at New York City’s Everard Baths.

Fag School’ by Brontez Purnell features a mix of entertaining interviews, cruising spot reviews, gossip, photos and writing.

Fundoshi Zine’ by Stefan Alexander is a collection of illustrations of men clad in this traditional (and often fetishised) Japanese loincloth.

“People Who Menstruate” by Rowan Frewin ✨

Printed in one colour (red, naturally) on A3-sized paper and folded into an A6 booklet, it chronicles examples of anti-trans media commentary, as well as real-life micro-aggressions / misgendering, which they’ve experienced.

When unfolded, it lists a number of U.K. trans charities and support organisations.

I found it at The Second Shelf, a trans-friendly bookshop in Soho, London, that sells a small selection of zines.

Available to buy from Rowan’s Etsy.
