I find one of the saddest lines in the book is one no one remembers or talks off.
‘But we’re going!’ he said, unable to suppress the exhilaration in his voice. ‘This is it! We’re off to Hogwarts!’
Snape was SO excited to be going to Hogwarts. Where he thought his life would be better, away from his abusive father and neglectful mother. He thought he was going to a safe place where he’d make friends and be happy.
This is the only time we see Snape excited and where he was unbelievably happy, for a heartbeat.
Snape x Reader: Long Time, No See
Summary: You come back home from a vacation, and Snape is not happy after not having any contact for the past two weeks. Perhaps you can change that.
