Waking up next to Nanami every morning is a privilege.

On his days off, he loves to sleep in and stay in bed for as long as possible. If you try to wake him up, he‘ll grumble and bury his face deeper in his pillow and pull the blanket higher. Let him stay in the warmth and comfort of your bed a bit longer. He really needs some rest.

You take your time to look at him. Rays of sunshine make their way through the blinds, illuminating his face and making him look like an angel. He squeezes his eyes shut and scrunches his nose, annoyed by the disturbance. You chuckle and reach your hand out to feel his hair. It‘s so soft especially since he hasn‘t put any products in it yet. You scoot closer and pull his head towards your chest. If he wants to stay in bed, his wish is your command. It‘s not like you‘d complain in the first place.

While Nanami was desperately trying to stay in dream-land, you were already thinking about how to spoil him that day. What breakfast should you get him? The answer was as clear as day. Get fresh bread from the bakery and make some scrambled eggs. And of course, coffee shouldn‘t be missing either. There‘s nothing Nanami loved more than waking up to the smell of freshly made breakfast. In his opinion, it was the best meal. It could make or break his whole day.

Sensing your stares, Nanami begrudgingly opens his eyes and slowly adjusts to his surroundings. You smile at him and how cute he looks with his hair completely disheveled. He turns his face away from you and yawns. He then buries his face back in your chest and pulls you closer. You laugh at his clinginess and run your hand over his back.

‚We should get up at some point.‘

He grumbled in response.

‚Five more minutes.‘

So by now some of y’all might know I just can’t help myself when it comes to Thedosian lore. It’s partially why Bioware owns my soul. This post is going to theorize about the future of the Dragon Age series through the lens of a part of the Chant of Light called the Canticle of Exaltations. No, I’m not exactly pro-Chantry. So why this?

I think Exaltations hints at things to come in DA4 and way beyond, once you remove the Chantrification (that’s totally a real word). Including…

• The removal of the Veil and Mythal’s return
  
• all hell (Fade) breaking loose
  
• Balance restored?
