Aphrodite(Αφροδιτη) was goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation in Greek mythology. She was the wellspring of both homosexual and heterosexual erotic desire as well as being known for her generously nurturing and passionately destructive persona. Aphrodite’s many epithets and descriptors reflected on her duality giving her the titles ‘Loving Smile,’and‘Dark One.’ She was also known as ‘She Who Postpones Old Age,’and‘The Slayer of Men,’ however Aphrodite was most commonly described as, ‘Heavenly,’and‘For All People.’
