#random nonsense

I just finished up a project that will be out later this month… and now I’m in the creative doldrums…   Not lacking in WIPs or interest or anything.  Just got the “I finished a thing” blues.  (I don’t like finishing things cuz then it’s like… over…. I like the ‘doing’ not the ‘end’)

Ugh… I am mired in indecision again.  So many ideas competing for attention in my head and I’m having trouble focusing on anything.  I just end up starring at my screen (or obsessively cc shopping to deal with the anxiety of being mired in indecision… which causes more anxiety of not being able to accomplish anything… and I don’t want to NOT do anything on my last day of vacay)

Ah the eternal mental struggle of - make the super-specific esoteric thing I need for exactly one project… or make a more generally “useful” but not exactly right thing…  Because ugh even I don’t want to clutter up my game with a bajillion slight variations on something…

Does anyone else have issue with downloading from Box?

I’ve tried dl’ing 3 different files and they all fail to download even if I’m logged in.

it gives me the size of the file in question, says it is downloading.. but doesn’t.  Also says it ‘failed to load preview, please reload’….

SWEET!  My game just crashed. At least I had just binned the sim I was working on just prior to the crash…

AAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHH!!!

I swear every time I have a notion to join an event (sim related) that has a time frame…. Everything I try to do goes haywire… I can’t get the effect I want with non-cc stuff and the more I wrestle with the thing the more I hate it.  Okay so make a cc thing for what I need…. and apparently I’ve lost complete ability to operate photoshop and my tablet has lost it’s frikkin’ mind half the time not responding to pressure (or just at all) and the other half drawing random lines no where near where I was even drawing.

And NO I do not need advice on how to fix anything…. I just need to blow off steam before I chuck my effin tablet out the window…

I didn’t forget about my color sim challenge!  There will be pics soon.  I have one, I’m working on a second.

I seem to have forgotten how to start a new game…  I was going to put a sim on an empty lot to start a new build and I seriously forgot how to it.  I was like… GAME, why won’t you let me place this sim on this empty lot?  Every time I select the sim and click ‘place’… the icon for the lot disappears…

And then I realized I was in world edit mode…. doh.

So as I may have mentioned, I have been using a lot I downloaded ages ago to indulge my need to “decorate” something…  And that was fine for a time.  I have it mostly done.  But now comes my dissatisfaction (with myself mind) that I didn’t actually build the building.  Building is kind of a struggle for me. I mean I used to do more of it ages ago but I’m not particularly clever with it as most “builders” are.  So more often then not it ends in frustration…  And it doesn’t help comments were made (at least not publicly) about one of my last actual struggles at building something.

I just have this need to do it, like an itch in my brain…  And decorating someone else’s lot just is not scratching the itch metaphorically.

Downloading a lot that the OP has documented a small handful of CC items… and then extracting it from the .sims3pack only to find 40 undocumented pieces…

did they leave out the r or add the g, that’s the question
