#ratchet and clank

Ratchet: A few years ago, I would have believed you. But that’s not true now! I’m not alone anymore!
Since I’ve been in quite a R&C mood as of late, I figured I’d share which girls I like Ratchet with the most. Hope you guys like it!
Sasha (OTP) (Yep, I think this one was obvious to see coming. Their scenes together throughout Up Your Arsenal were so adorable, and Sasha was just always my favourite girl for Ratchet)
Hydro Girl (This one came from finding out about the deleted mission from Deadlocked as well as the ending, and I would have loved to have the option to battle in tag teams with her and the other heroes so we could get to know them, because I’d especially love to know more about this girl! I think she and Ratchet would be adorable together)
Laura (Watch Laura SirenAngel’s videos and you’ll understand why for this one. Alongside Alister and Sonja, this is one of my favourite Canon x OC couples)
Starlene (This one is mainly thanks to the PS4 game; I really liked what they did with Starlene and giving her more to say. I always imagine that Ratchet’s performance in the races would end up winning her over in more ways than one)
Vendra (I fully blame Into The Nexus for this one; it was the first time that Ratchet connected emotionally with a villain in the series since he completely understands her wanting something badly and how it feels to have it change a person into someone they’re not, because he’s been in that place at the start of his adventures as well as seeing it for himself in A Crack in Time. I imagine that he’d be able to help her overcome those feelings and become a better person than she was before)
You know what I would have loved to see in Tools of Destruction? Having Ratchet not act as much like a jerk as he did.
I can understand the why, but seeing how antagonistic Ratchet acted towards Clank reminded me of the first game; I didn’t enjoy it then and I certainly don’t enjoy it now! I’d expect things like this to come out of first game-Ratchet, not Going Commando onwards-Ratchet!
You know what I would have done? Have Ratchet be a little skeptical at first because even with everything he and Clank had been through at this point, the idea of the Zoni sounds a little absurd, but then he decides ‘I may not understand it, but that won’t stop me from trusting my best friend’.
It may seem like a small change, but just imagine how much of a difference it would have made!
Okay, can I bring up a small detail from the scene before the battle against Nefarious in A Crack in Time?
We all know about the moment where Nefarious strikes a serious nerve of Ratchet’s by calling Clank a pathetic sidekick and Ratchet is like ‘No one talks to Clank that way.’ However, there’s another moment from that scene that I feel gets overlooked.
It’s when Nefarious is walking towards them and jumps forward before stopping just short in front of Clank. When he does so, Ratchet instinctively reaches towards Clank as if he’s ready to protect him in case something happens.
The first time I caught that, I was left smiling like crazy! Seriously, the little moments with those two always make me so happy!
Ratchet: There’s no such thing as monsters.
Talwyn: But there is; it’s down in the boiler room!
Qwark: It’s absolutely real.
Rusty Pete: I heard it ate Vendra!
Clank: I have heard it is Vendra.
Vendra: I heard that!
Ratchet: Look, the water heater in this place has been broken for months. Without hot water… (Points to the Plumber) That guy can’t shave… (Points to Neftin) That guy can’t shower… (Points to Alister lying on the floor) And I think that guy’s head.
Alister: (Raises his head) I just have dry skin!

I THINK THESE TWO ARE SOO CUTE
I’m really sad they didn’t have a bigger focus. I feel they could have had a Launce And Janice style thing going on.
I also thought the Valkyries were organic life forms so I was a little sad to find out they weren’t but whatever
I also wanted Nefarious’ anger management to be a bigger thing in this game too lol

A cute, happy Ratchet for my nephew
So I watched the trailer for the new Ratchet & Clank game and I really liked the new character teased at the end so much that i had to draw her! I’ll be honest in saying that as beautiful as the Ratchet & Clank 2016 reboot was, I wasn’t the biggest fan of all the changes made so I’m glad to see that they’re continuing with the original timeline for this game. So many questions about this game and the big thing of discussion is just how is this new character? Is she a new Lombax character? A counterpart of Ratchet that comes from a different dimension? So many questions and while I won’t say that I’m “hyped”, I’m totally looking forward to the game and it’ll be the reason why I get the PS5. Anyway, had a lot of fun drawing her and think she turned out great!

This is a collab me and LittleFennecArt on Twitter started awhile backish now. I did the sketch and then she polished parts I didn’t finish like Rivet’s arm as well as doing everything else. Love the background on this one, Willow.

This was something quick I did to go with “Bonfire Hearts” you can read on Ao3. I plan to polish it once I get more of my owed stuff done Rivet’s prosthetic is off if its not obvious.
I wanted some flustered Ratchet for once, I always do Rivet I realized so now its Ratchet’s turn. Did this as a breather between commissions and to destress a bit.
