He puts out a notice in the Daily Prophet looking to hire someone to help him renovate the Manor. Enter handyman Ron who accepts the job and Draco is curious to know why.

Summary: Draco is over 30 and pretty much over participating in the world. First enters Scorpius, a stray Jack Russell terrier who won’t leave, and then Ron Weasley, after Millicent Bulstrode screens those who respond to Draco’s handyman ad in The Prophet. Can Draco still be himself if he finds comfort in both of these unexpected companions?
Notes: I fell for this prompt as soon as I saw it and loved writing this story. I haven’t participated in a fest in about a decade and loved telling a new tale of how they get together.
