#reginald barclay

Shout-out to the consistency in the episode “Pathfinder”. In Barclay’s holo-simulation we have the following:

The Maquis still dressed as Maquis, plus B’Elanna has straight hair, despite it being wavy this season (she also has a really good attitude, guess Barclay didn’t read her personal file that closely.)

All the Starfleet Voyager crew wears the outdated uniforms while every on Earth wears the updated version.

Tom is shown wearing the rank of lieutenant despite being demoted to an ensign in the previous season. This demotion came well after the Doctor made contact with Starfleet so Barclay had no way of knowing about it.

Tuvok is shown with the rank of Lt. Cmdr., even though he was only a Lt. when they left. He was promoted right before the Doctor made the trip to the Alpha Quadrant so he no doubt informed them of the change.

Starfleet is really not up-to-date on Janeway’s latest hairstyles. Shame.

There’s also who you don’t see. Barclay obviously knows about Neelix, Kes and Seven, but doesn’t really have any way of knowing what they look like so they’re just sort of left out of it.

I added an obligatory photo of Neelix Barclay because it’s basically a requirement to add one when talking about this episode. Who doesn’t love a fluffy Star Trek kitty?
