The E is a Sovereign-Class Federation Heavy Explorer starship, launched on Stardate 49827.5 from the San Francisco Fleet Yards as the cutting edge of Starfleet ship design. The ship started construction as the USS Honorius, but was rechristened after the destruction of the Enterprise D at Veridian III.
