Since the whole raison d'etre of this blog boils down to rock photography, I thought it would be only fitting to start featuring some of the artists who create these images. When I run across a photo credit, I look for the photographer’s website and e-mail them to ask if I can use their photos here or on my fashion blog, Malcriada. Most of them are pretty good about getting back to me and giving permission. I do think it is very important to give credit to the creators of the images that rule our world here on Tumblr in particular, and the internet in general. I always do my best to credit, and refrain from using images of artists from whom I have gotten no response. It drives me nuts when I see beautiful photographs floating around with no discernable way to find out who created them. And believe me, I can spend silly amounts of time playing Nancy Drew in that case.
I did get a prompt and friendly response from Steve Double, who was credited on an old Stone Roses pic from 1989 that I reblogged here. He’s had a phenomenal career since then and his website runs the gamut from Bono to Umberto Eco to iconic footballers like Paul Gascoigne. Check it out! I will be featuring Steve’s work for the rest of the week here on Malcriada Music (and I have been for a few days already cos I can’t hold my water).
He’s also got a Facebook page:
