Can I just say I appreciate Rune Factory for sticking to its artstyle of “it looks simple at first but these outfits are ridiculous after a closer gander”. Like it makes drawing any of the characters a pain but it sure is pretty, especially the wedding dresses in particular. Like they have this almost fantasy folk/tribal/traditional cultured look with the extravagant headresses and several layers with straps and flowers. It makes the fantasy world that much more real. (also i hate that its nearly impossible to find full official art of the wedding outfits, im here scouring google and screenshoting youtube videos like a noob)

Forte mentions how her hair was short until she grew it out to wear the feather headpiece Kiel gave her, so I wanted to do a lil sketch of her short hair! She’s my favorite bachelorette and I might start a Lest file just to marry her

I want to include this cap of one of his portraits, which is a good angle for some things but the design on his arm guard is noticeably different :/ Personally I’d copy his model but it’s up to you which one you choose.
Fantasy Farming RPG ‘Rune Factory 5’ Released in English; Features Series First Same-Sex Marriage Options
On Tuesday, XSEED Game’s RPG farm simulation game Rune Factory Five was released in North America for the Nintendo Switch. This is the first game in the series to feature same-sex relationships, which are available as a patch for other versions of the game released without the feature.
Rune Factory 5 is the eighth game in the franchise and the fifth main series title. The series itself began as a spin-off to Marvelous’ Story of Seasons (formerlyHarvest Moon) games.
The game, which is the first installment in the franchise in 9 years, excluding a port of Rune Factory 4 to the Nintendo Switch, follows the player character who awakens in the town a Rigbarth with no memory. They join a group of rangers known as SEED to protect the village from monsters and farm the land.
Rune Factory 5 includes both action RPG elements, with players leveling up weapons and magic as they fight monsters, and farming simulator elements, such as planting and harvesting crops, taming monsters to raise as animals, and cooking. This is the first game in the mainline franchise to feature full three-dimensional movement, while previous entries were from a top-down perspective. A large part of the game’s focus is on the player’s relationships with the citizens of Rigbarth, many of whom they can romance and marry. The conversations feature animated character art, similar to visual novels, played over the game.
The game has received mixed reviews from critics, who applaud its characters and variety of activities, but criticized its graphics and the technical issues brought on by the switch to a 3D interface.
