The Japanese word satoyamadescribes a landscape that lies between the natural and human worlds, an intermediate zone of forests, fields, and bustling communities. Containing both natural and human elements, they are havens for different kinds of life, including a wide array of insects.

猫好きイラストレーター「もりとしのり」が描く〜四季を旅する猫〜『たびねこ』イラストシリーズ「秋色パッチワーク」です。
秋色の山の麓を走るのは、最近復活した『新潟色』カラーの電車（信越本線）です。その電車を見ている猫達を描きました。

Running at the foot of the fall mountain is the recently revived “Niigata color” train (Shinetsu line). I drew “Kuro” and “Mike” watching the train.
