A little dazed and wobbly Christina stood up, mind coming back into focus.

“Straighten up Dan or you’ll be off my team”.

Leaving his cube, Christina’s mind was firing on all cylinders again, as she was walking briskly past her drones she was saying to herself “I’ll talk to HR about open offices for Dan, so he can work more efficiently”. Never noticing she no longer called him Daniel.

A few weeks passed and everything was normal. Everybody avoided Christina’s gaze, just the way she liked it. Until one day, going through the logs, Dan’s code flagged a report, she sent it to the printer, almost knocking it off her desk as she lunged for the paper before marching to his office.
