I decided to try something new today. I’ve been really inspired by @nathanfowkesart and his brilliant landscape paintings, especially the 20 stroke landscape pieces. My gouache work is usually really tight so i decided to try a more impressionistic approach. I think you can see me lossening up more from the first to the second sketch. I cant wait to do more of these!

Taken in Seattle, WA. This is the location that the field recording underneath ‘On Leaving’ were captured. I’ve always been able to relax when near the sea, and watching larger cargo ships slowly drift by in the distance is a bonus. I chose this image as the cover for my album, 'Accidentals’, as it represents the sounds and nature of my work well.

the way ivan aivazovskylooks at the sea…i think…i think that’s what love looks like.

love is surrounding yourself with people who see you this clearly

I just want to go there pretty please

I would build a ship if I had where. It would be all black with golden accents. Three masts would rise majestically above the deck. Simple white sails catching the wind. Steering wheel would be black wood and jade handles finished with emeralds. 40 golden cannons capable of crushing everything on their way would be enough to scare vicious captains of high seas. “Fluxus” would really be astonishing
