Peace Be With You

So for years, I’ve been saying Peace Be With You. I had no idea Jesus said it way before I said it until I did a google search years ago. Then I heard that phrase again in the movie called Son Of God. What peace be with you means to me is to embrace love, peace, positivity, and happiness. And what is the opposite of love, peace, positivity, and happiness? It is hate, war, negativity, and anger.

I used to give into my anger, it caused me to fight bullies in school and it continued for years, which landed me in a school called Sheldon Pines, which housed a lot of problematic students. I had a lot of hate and anger towards those who bullied me. During those childhood and teenage years, I didn’t have Jesus, therefore I didn’t have peace or happiness.

And sure my dad took me to church, but I was bored out of my mind every time I went there. I just wanted to be at home and play video games. Eventually, I would find Jesus but it took me a while to get there because in 2001, I was into spirituality, which my ex-girlfriend got me into. She actually listens to Christian rock bands, but she didn’t claim to be a Christian and I have no idea if she eventually became a Christian.

However, I was on my way to becoming a Christian in 2003, which was the same year I started going to church again. During that time, I had gone through demonic attacks. It continued until my mother gave me her cross necklace. The demonic attacks stopped. Jesus had protected me since then. Over time, I learn the value of peace. Started thinking to myself “Peace Be With You”, which helped me get rid of my negative thoughts.

I’ve come a long way and I’m not the same guy I was 22 years ago. I had to open my mind up and shed away that darkness I had.
