I’ve been in the writing cave for awhile now but had to take a research break today, which included reading this column by Arthur C. Clarke in the November 1954 issue of Seventeen Magazine. He wrote several columns about space and science for Seventeen, which also ran several features in the early 1950s on women engineers and scientists. Of course, men (or “man”) was always given priority, but it amazed me how positive and chipper Seventeen was about the possibilities for girls in science. #research #wip #seventeenmagazine #amwriting #authorsofinstagram

These ladies barreling into the shop from the October 1970 issue of Seventeen magazine looks WAY more Spring to me. Those outfits are SO fantastically Beads of Paradise, but they’d look even *more* groovy with some beaded jewelry which, thankfully, we are in no shortage of — hence those big grins!
