Yes I know that it shouldn’t be Canon. And that in a one hundred percent Canon setting it would be wrong, unhealthy and potentially toxic.
But the fanfiction writers bring their A Game with the fics.
And I love it.

I just realized that you can see if someone is open minded from the way they look at pairings they don’t ship.
There are people who are going to say “I don’t personally ship this pairing, but I can understand the potential appeal of it” and there are people who’re going to say “Ugh, I don’t understand how anyone can ship this. It’s obviously wrong”.
Now apply this to any other topic.
It’s kind of like art. You may not like a painting, but you should still keep in mind that it was put in a museum for a reason. It was a masterpiece to someone else.
The lengths people will go to hate bumbleby will always be so insane to me and is one of the reasons why the fandom is still toxic with shippers. If people can just let people enjoy their ships without having to constantly try to put down the ones that they don’t like, the rwby fandom wouldn’t have so many pointless fights. We all love our personal ships and all ships aren’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean you have to spread and make up false information to try to put down a ship you don’t like because of your own personal biases against it. Nobody expects everyone to like every ship and it really isn’t that hard to scroll past a post with a ship you don’t like in it or shipping your ship without comparing your ship to the one you don’t like and then acting like it’s better and constantly being toxic towards it. Then those same people who do, will claim that it’s being critical of the ship, but if you look at all their posts it’s nothing more than them hating on it and only making negative claims without acknowledging the positive ones.
It really isn’t that hard to just let people enjoy their ships without having to always be toxic toward the ones you don’t like. Because if someone did the same thing to the ship you like you wouldn’t like it either.
Yeah, I don’t personally ship bumblebee, but that doesn’t matter cause not everyone needs to ship the same thing. Everyone should ship what they want to ship
And like it would be seriously boring if everyone shipped the same thing. I’ve discovered lot of cool ship that I never even thought of by just stumbling around.
