This piece is very heavy because of the lore behind these two. Most stories in the Souls series are depressing and the story of Siegward and the Lonely Giant is no different. It seems the Dark Souls universe is a cruel place for many within but the light of companionship burns ever bright admits the onslaught of darkness. Truly this is a story of friendship and love til the bitter end. Alas there are no fair-weather-friends in Miyazaki’s world.
