Ребят, тут в Москве вчера открылся центр психологической и социальной поддержки трансгендерных людей. Как я поняла пока, это свежий проект двух нб-психологов, которые создают терапевтические группы для трансгендерных людей+выделяют отдельные бесплатные места для людей, которые находятся в сложной жизненной ситуации+собирают контакты транс-фрэндли психологов.
Проект совсем молодой - не похоже, что его авторы связаны с ЛГБТ-сетью или другими крупными организациями, но задумка полезная, и на сайте им можно отправить пожертвование
Hey so! Just yesterday two trans psychologists launched a mental health center for trans people in Moscow. As far as I am aware, it’s the only such project here currently (some other cities have trans orgs that offer psychological help sometimes + bigger LGBT organizations offer mental health help as well, but it’s the first trans-led and oriented mental health project I’ve seen so far).
They’re currently raising money to fund affordable group therapy for trans people who can’t afford it themselves (where they’ll compensate ~2/3 of its usual price with donations).
They’re also planning to raise funds for affordable personal therapy sessions, assistance w/ medical help, office rent, stuff for informal ~support group type of meetings and installing a security system.

hey guys, i hate to do this again because i’ve asked a couple times in the last year or so, but we need some help
we’re currently dealing with an abusive landlord situation, so we are trying to move asap (hopefully within two weeks). we have not had hot water at all for over two months (nor consistently for four, when it started going out), despite us repeatedly telling him, and our roof and ceiling are leaking and there is mold growing. he’s constantly showing up at the property completely unannounced without any kind of notice, sending people to our house without any warning including letting them into our fenced-in yard. he has called my roommate over the phone and screamed at her and threatened her multiple times, and today he called and screamed at her again to mow the lawn that we just mowed a few days ago and threatening to evict us. this is a man with two harassment complaints already filed against him by our neighbor.
everyone in the house is struggling with ptsd and we’re all extremely on edge. we have a place lined up, we just need to get the funds together to manage the move itself and pay for the security deposit.
anything helps, even if it’s just a few dollars or a signal boost.
we were approved for the new place! and so we also now finally have a set goal. we need about $1600 for first month’s rent and the deposit. right now we have about $200 without counting my paychecks for this month as those will likely need to go towards our final month’s rent with the place we’re currently living in. if that changes, i’ll be updating this post accordingly.
Asylum seekers in Russia receive little to no government assistance and cannot legally seek employment in most cases, so NGO funds is the only support they receive during this pandemic.
To clarify, this organization is the most active of the very few (like 3) organizations dedicated to helping refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Russia. They provide material, legal and language support to asylum seekers in Russia - most of those who come here seeking refugee status are denied it no matter the actual severity of their situation. Refugee status is granted very, veryyy rarely, and the status of an asylum seeker, even though it’s also not granted to the majority of the applicants, only lasts for a year, after which it has to be renewed - and these people are often (most of the time) denied that. There is also no program for asylum seekers who are denied refugee status here to help them leave for another, more refugee-friendly country - there used to be one from UNHCR, but afaik it doesn’t operate anymore, so these people are stuck here with no legal way to work, often with their families, perpetually stuck in a bureacratic hell that could have them sent back to the country they fled at any moment.
The Civic Assistance committee does their best to help in this situation, but as you can guess, this organization is not favoured by the Russian government. In fact, it’s officially designated as a “foreign agent” - the label that the Russian gov slapped on basically all effective human rights NGOs here a few years ago. Their budget is limited, and it really needs donations - they provide refugees with clothing and food, legal information, free attourneys, interpreters and translation services, Russian language teachers and constantly wage legal battles against xenophobic practices in education/laws that make it almost impossible to enroll refugee kids in school. I personally interned/volunteered for this organization, but volunteer services can only go this far - and remember, because of how screwed up the Russian economy and the conversion rate of USD/EUR to RUB is, your donation is likely worth x2-x3 more here.

My very dear friend got a ticket the other day. He is an undocu Mexican trans man who will likely face deportation if he has to go to court, but he can’t pay the ticket until he renews his passport/other documents as proof that he is making progress on settling his legal immigration status. He’s afraid to post in local aid groups, as his abusive stepfather has located their family before when they asked for help that way, but he only has two weeks to raise around $400 dollars. I’m working to get some discrete local aid for him, but anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

She got to do the surgery last year for free, she was asking for donations (the goal was 12,000 BRL = 2.195 USD). If she reached the goal, she wouldn’t need to do the surgery, but we couldn’t reach it. But with the donations we got she started half of the treatment, she got to remove her wisdom teeth, she’s very happy! The total is 2800 BRL = 483,31 USD. My mom still needs donations, so please, share, boost and donate if you can. Any $1 is a lot, since our currency is in brazilian real.
someone asked how much was missing till we reach the goal and kindly donated more $210, but paypal taxes are expensive and they took off $13,74 USD of it.

I don’t feel comfortable at all by doing this (because recently i’ve asked for help for my cat and I’ve received so much support and help).
My mom is 51 and she has bad oral health, it’s expensive and she has always been really afraid of dentists, it’s a trauma. But now she’s been suffering with it, it’s causing her a lot of pain. She has torus palatinus, a painless bony growth located on the roof of the mouth (the hard palate). The mass appears in the middle of the hard palate and can vary in size and shape.

She needs to have the surgery to remove it, with general anesthesia, ‘cause she needs a dental prosthesis, the treatment costs 12,000 BRL = 2.195 USD.
Unfortunately she’s the only one who works at home, her husband lost her job, so things are really hard for us. I do paid promotions with my Twitter account and with the money, I pay some bills. My mom has been saving money for months and we’re still far from the goal.

Hey everyone! My name’s Georgia and I’m currently looking for a roommate (or two) to share a short-term (6 month) lease with in San Angelo, TexasfromFebruary/MarchtoAugust/September of next year. My fiancée, Becca, is in the military and will be spending her AIT at Goodfellow Air Force Base. While we have the means to make do with our own place, we’d much prefer a roommate. Becca will be spending far more time on base than she will at the apartment, likely only coming to stay on weekends after the first few months, so I’ll be the only one actually living there full-time.

I’m here to make this little post about my self again ;-; You guys have helped me tremendously last time with Tróia’s liver problems afterall. Things haven’t been easy for anyone. As a fulltime artist right now (as I lost my job back in November), it’s been very difficult for me to earn a living where I am. Tróia, my dog has been my loyal companion; but her kibble is almost finished; my computer is down again and I can’t even purchase a new graphics card (no cheap ones and world going out of stock of graphics card), my ipad (my MAIN source of income/work tool) has been having screen issues and very soon will need replacement, the new prints I ordered from my shop have been caught in customs (thank you Brexit) thus doubling my order; I haven’t seen my family since June last year and fear for my mom’s health everyday; I spent most of the day yesterday crying because I can’t go on living like this. My depression and anxiety have worsened considerably because I simply am not allowed to work on my tattooing apprenticeship (my country is in forced quarantine since 15th of January and is predicted to only lift in ends of March), I’m stuck in a house with a very difficult lady who refuses therapy and bullies everyone in the house. Some days I’m fine but some other days have been hell.
The only thing keeping me sane has been Critical Role episodes… (and even those are getting angsty ahah)
