Padme’s Mustafar Hair

May the fourth be with you my fellow Star Wars fans!! Here’s another of Padme’s hairstyles to celebrate this wonderful day!

She wears this towards the end of Revenge of the Sith on the planet Mustafar. The braid is very long which caused me some problems at first but I managed to extend the braid down with minimal clipping so I’m impressed with myself!

Nora Hair

Another 1910s hair and another use of the GTW bun… it’s so versatile I just really like it!! This is actually one of my favourite hairs I’ve made :)

Mrs Hughes Hair

Another Downton Abbey hair from the earlier 1910s episodes. This one was a bit more difficult due to not very many reference images so there was a lot of pausing and blurry photos going on. 

I’ve re-used the bun from my Margaret Set and the front of this hair is the base in the next 2 hairs I’m finishing up so there’s lots of recycling here.

Lavinia Hair

I’ve been rewatching Downton Abbey so I’ve got a few Downton hairs in the works. This one is worn by Lavinia Swire in 1916 to 1919.

These are the hairs of Cinderella’s stepsisters from the 1950 film.

The set included the adult versions of Anastasia and Drizella with their respective hair accessories, and child versions. I’ve also added an edited version on the adult Anastasia hair to have the same fringe as the child one. This is because for these to be accurate I had to use a blocky fringe and I much prefer the child one.

Imogen Hair

I wanted to make the front of this hair into a middle parting for Edwardian reasons and ended up with this rather fancy updo! It works for far more eras than I intended, even modern times, so I’m releasing it on its own rather than in a decade set.

The clip is a separate accessory found in hats and has 74 swatches with a variety of jewels and metals. I’ve made an overlay accessory version too that works with the original Vintage Glamour hair.

Guinevere’s Queen Set from Merlin

I’ve been a fan of Merlin for over 10 years and recently got a pinterest account so I obviously had to spend ages finding every picture of the costumes and then make my favourite for the Sims! 

The dress has 28 swatches and the circlet has a corresponding 14. The hair has 2 versions. The afro-textured is pictured in the previews and there’s a non-textured one as well. The hair isn’t compatible with glasses because I needed the extra uv space.

Nellie Hair

A mid Victorian hairstyle for young girls that’s both historically accurate and adorable! 

The bow is from the half-up hair in Cottage Living and the texture is in the same place which means that any overlays for the original hair (like thisby@ice-creamforbreakfast​) will also work on this hair!

There aren’t too many differences between the 1850s and 60s hairs but that all changes is the 70s, coming to a screen near you, probably way later than you’d expect!

1880s Mermaid Costume

Simbrleen 2021 - week 2

I came across this book published in 1888 about costume ideas for women attending parties. I fell in love with the mermaid costume with a tail bustle and decided I had to make it! The book gave some suggestions for colour combinations so I made 32 swatches of those and some other colours I liked. I’m not great with textures so the brilliant Ali (@theroyalthornoliachronicles) did some photoshop magic and made 20 incredible gradient swatches, bringing the total up to 52 swatches.

The bodice is from @sifix‘s Satine dress (here) and the seaweed comes from @astya96cc simblreen Mortal Kombat set (here). It was originally hair but I’ve repurposed it for the dress which I think has worked rather well!

Sidebraid hair

Oh? Another hair I originally intended for a personal character? Yep. Which is why this was actually created for the masculine frame.

Besides that, the little hairband of the braid is actually set to match the eye color of your sim! I don’t know why, it just seemed like a fun idea. Enjoy.
