No nuance November ( Tog edition)

I hope I don’t lose followers

  • Aelin losing her powers is actually a big thing for her character;
  • SJM completely forgot about Nehemia’s family, which is an absurd;
  • Most of her poc in tog are tolken or are there just to die and help the development of the white main character ( like Sorcha and Nehemia);
  • Chaol does NOT deserve all the hate he gets;
  • Celealena >>>> Aelin;
  • Dorian and Manon deserve a novel;
  • ToG’s plot and word building makes way more sense than ACOTAR;
  • the high point of the last book was Dorian in Morath;
  • Aedion does not deserve Lysandra after treating her so badly, when she was pretending to be Aelin;

new nightmare courtier just dropped

The last couple days I’ve been completely preoccupied with reading “Daughter of the Forest” by Juliet Marillier. It proved one of the most enticing, thrilling, heart wrenching and beautifully written books I’ve ever read. I cried myself to sleep after finishing it last night, mostly because how the book portrayed love, in the most overwhelming way, and i knew I had to draw the main couple. ✨

Here’s 2 hours of progress so far, and I really like it tbh, maybe not perfect, but it seems nothing is these days, and just drawing is a victory for me. I really recommend the book, especially if you love folklore and Irish Mythology as well as magic, tragedy and sorrow, but most of all love, in all forms. Just read it! ❤️

Sorcha of Sevenwaters (or Jenny of Harrowfield) from the book Daughter of the Forest (Juliet Marillier) is a young irish girl living with the bretons when she weaves the startwort shirts to break the spell that transformed her six brothers into swans (the book is inspired on the fairy tale of “The Six Swans” amazingly mixed with Irish legends).

The startwort plants and flowers that she used to spin the magical shirtshad thorns that hurt and disfigured her hands.

I won this book as birthday gift from a dearest friend, and now I’m dying toread the whole series.

As the romance takes place in the beggining of King Aethelwulf of Wessex reign, I believe the approximate date is circa of 840.
