#specter of torment
In commemoration of Shovel Knight’s new DLC Specter of Torment, I got to design a shirt featuring Specter Knight. I asked for metallic ink and they delivered! I got to draw a cool sticker for it, too. The latin text means “I was what you are; you will be what I am”.

Beating Specter of Torment so soon after watching Hellbent made me realize that Specter Knight and Lewis actually have quite a few things in common:
-undead
-met their demise via a long fall followed by high-speed impact with rocks (albeit from different directions)
-want retribution on the person they feel is responsible for their current state
and of course
-both carry a heart-shaped locket macguffin that holds significance both to their pasts and to their undead states
Given this, I really just wanted to draw them having a big ole angst-fest together. I imagine that they would both appreciate an empathetic ear.

I did some shovel knight fan art of specter knight who is my big favorite without mask and I know that Donovan doesn’t wield a scythe but I liked how the double scythe looked so I ran with it

I feel maybe it’s a little blasphemous to depict any of them without masks butttt I wanntttedd tooo so I hope you like the drawing
