So, apparently, Jake Gyllenhaal said that before the “barf incident”, Quentin looked up to Tony and greatly admired him like Peter did.
Now I can’t help but imagine Quentin as a delusional and abusive ex because:
1.) he threw away his relationship over one tiny thing and only sees Tony as the problem.
2.) he is clearly still obsessed with Tony and is enraged that some younger twink is getting attention and gadgets from him.
3.) he modeled his suit and “powers” off of Doctor Strange and he was probably the last one Tony was seen alive with in public and Tony probably talked about him after infinity war.
Quentin heard that and was probably like “oh, so that’s what you’re into now? Fine!” And then spends five years designing his new costume and tech to resemble this new guy that Tony seemed to like. Then Tony had the audacity to die before seeing Quentin in his suit, so off to plan B.
4.) his entire crew/“friend group” is made up of people that also hate his ex.
Obviously, this isn’t meant to be taken seriously. I just find it funnier imagining Quentin’s motivation for villainy being similar to an angry ex that is clearly not over the break up.
I’m back! My vacation was simultaneously not a vacation andthe break I desperately needed. But now, back to work!
This one was just a short and sweet goofy thing my friends and I talked about after seeing Far From Home. Next one is the one I was initially planning that I abruptly postponed for the sake of Nick Fury and his surfboard that definitely isn’t his.
