Finally all the refs for Stories of Rheydeia are done. Jeez I keep forgetting how long refs take to make
I’m getting into vulture culture and found a dead starling (no injuries at all!) outside three days ago.
(Self reminder bit!) I buried it in a rot pot/container yesterday, May 5.
I’m technically not supposed to have brought it in my house… but.. I think it’s a bit too late to follow that rule. I really wish I had cut off and mummified the wings, but I’m too much of a beginner to even think of cutting off bird wings. (Maybe someday I’ll have the courage…) I’ll have to try that with my next find since I buried the entire bird! (I just want the skull but can not fathom the thought of cutting off a bird’s head)
Let’s just hope there isn’t too much stink coming from the tiny hidden dead bird garden..
Sketches done in May from life of an unfortunate European starling fledgling that hit my window and passed away.
I made some drawings of it to capture its ephemeral beauty. A little wonder of evolution gone too soon. Time to rest, feed the invertebrates and continue the journey.

I would just like to say how amazing the Birds of Prey are. I have always been a fan since the moment I laid eyes on them in 2002.
And I am not one of the delusional fans that just thinks anything and everything that graces the pages of a Birds of Prey comic is godly.
BUT THIS ‘NEW’ BIRDS OF PREY. is. AMAZING.
I have a blast every issue. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Just damn. I am a happy camper with this book. READ IT. IN STORES NOW. GO.
