But then hearing soft little moans or gasps from Steve and/or Eddie when your fingers just trace across the nape of their neck (even more just tease them with a small kiss there ) or when you thread your fingers through their locks, just a soft hum of “so adorable, such pretty hair, etc.”
i’ve seen it on tiktok but it would be amazing if the song that eddie is playing on his guitar is for whom the bell tolls. i would simply combust hearing the first parts of the guitar
Eddie most definitely does not pass his classes that year after the nightmare that was Vecna. Failing grades burning a hole in his heart, Eddie finds himself in the company of Steve and Robin during a shift at Family Video. It doesn’t take long before Eddie’s heartbroken disposition has Steve volunteering himself to help Eddie study for his GED and offering him a position at the video store to help pay for it. There’s something about having another person believe in you that makes it really hard not to fall in love with them, Eddie soon finds out.

i’m calling it now - steve will try to save nancy or something and get himself into mortal danger (because most of us are expecting him to die) and then the writers will throw a plot twist at us by having eddie “be the hero/not run away this time” and save steve but die in the process of doing that : )

steve and eddie deserve to just paint each other’s nails and make out in the staff room of family video. they don’t deserve any more monster fighting or netflix pushing its straight agenda on them.
I believe they had the perfect set up to allow Steve to explore his sexuality by giving him a gay best friend in season 3 who could explain to him something he previously didn’t know possible: that some people like boys and girls.
Further, I think they had a good base to start his bicuriousity in season 4 (with mr. Munson) when Robin said “you date a bunch of girls but still have no idea what you’re looking for” and later when Dustin said “maybe if you spent less time looking for a girlfriend and more time looking for Eddie…”. The signs could’ve all been there for Steddie.
He could’ve had google eyes when he saw Eddie’s big hair and soft eyes. Instead they set him up to be with Nancy, which feels cheap to both their characters and frankly makes Steve look like he’s only into Nancy because he’s clearly desperate for a conventionally attractive girl.
i know that ronance being canon is basically not happening at all HOWEVER steddie–– istg there are so many hints and looks and it would make perfect sense for steve to date a guy after all the “can’t find THE perfect gf for some reason no matter how hard he tries” like… i am THINKING
eddie saw shirtless steve and really said to himself “hmm what would be even better than this?” and immediately decided to put his denim vest on him, so true so true
