hi all i learned about both these things today and figured i’d put them in one post so others can learn.
at some point (i don’t know when) in the first two eps of kenobi, there is a sequence where the younglings are murdered during order 66. any approximate timestamp, if people have one, would be appreciated.
also, the first scene of the first ep of stranger things s4 is a bunker full of children that have been killed.
in the wake of uvalde, i wanted to flag this. i certainly don’t have the heart to watch anything with dead children right now, and i’m sure others don’t either. if you do watch it, good for you, that’s fine. i just don’t have the spoons right now.
ETA: apparently the younglings don’t die or if they do it’s not on screen, but it’s still a scene that opens with children in school and stormtroopers slamming in guns blazing so i think the warning is accurate
updating to say it’s at 6:05 in the first ep for kenobi and the summary i got from a friend is “None of the bbs die, but it’s their teacher leading them through the halls of the temple while the clones are shooting everyone, and she does die” so as an fyi for folks.
also re: stranger things: the dead children are consistently flashed back to a lot especially in eps 6 and 7 apparently but pretty regularly throughout so that’s something to be aware of.

So we only made it 4 episodes in tonight, but I had Some Concerns I wanted to share. Mild spoilers under the cut.
There are multiple child deaths so far in the season - including a massacre in the first episode - and teen deaths as well, with clear shots of their bodies. There was also an abrupt and alarming gun battle involving machine guns and teenagers in 4x04, though none of the minors are injured or killed. If you’re struggling with the recent gun deaths in Uvalde, maybe steer clear for a while, on your own judgement. I typically compartmentalize pretty well and I was still struggling at times.
waiting until july for the next two episodes of stranger things 4 is gonna be torture why did they think it was a good idea to end with that huge cliffhanger and make us wait
they should have just released those two episodes along with the new season for the fans since we waited 3 years but at the same time it means its not ending soon
i just finished watching stranger things s4 and that cliffhanger i can’t believe they ended it like that the villain’s back story i’m so shocked i was not expecting that at all this is the most well written back story for a villain i’ve seen the way the storylines all tie together in the end and it all goes back to the beginning that reveal was insane
i’ve never been this shocked during a reveal before that was the best reveal this show has done like i can’t process this
this season was so good so many crazy things were happening every storyline was so interesting this season was so intense from start to finish how am i supposed to wait until july

is anyone else like. not unreasonably afraid that they’re gonna pull a “bury your gays” with Will Byers after the announcement that his gayness is being revealed in the last episode of s4……… i am still very much hopeful that they will let him live BUT. there’s always that lingering fear based on those hundreds of times it had happened before in other TV shows. no but for real if he comes out and/or confesses to Mike and then dies immediately after i’m goign to fukcing killb myself
el and lucas being the most prominent people in max’s flashbacks because they’re the most important people in her life :) (internally screaming and crying)

Me on the inside:(thinking about how his persona is a front to protect himself, how fast he tried to make Chrissy comfortable as soon as he saw she was nervous, how he celebrated his players killing his campaign boss instead of being pissed about it, how he nearly cried on the radio hiding under skull rock, how he jumped into the lake despite his terror, how he told Steve about Nancy’s actions even though he absolutely could have said nothing, how deep down he’s just a big gold-hearted softie struggling with his grades and sense of belonging in Hawkins, how he-)
