what i want to happen in vol 2: steddie canon, robin ending up with either vickie or nancy
what we’ll probably get in vol 2: eddie having a crush on robin
steve and eddie deserve to just paint each other’s nails and make out in the staff room of family video. they don’t deserve any more monster fighting or netflix pushing its straight agenda on them.
I believe they had the perfect set up to allow Steve to explore his sexuality by giving him a gay best friend in season 3 who could explain to him something he previously didn’t know possible: that some people like boys and girls.
Further, I think they had a good base to start his bicuriousity in season 4 (with mr. Munson) when Robin said “you date a bunch of girls but still have no idea what you’re looking for” and later when Dustin said “maybe if you spent less time looking for a girlfriend and more time looking for Eddie…”. The signs could’ve all been there for Steddie.
He could’ve had google eyes when he saw Eddie’s big hair and soft eyes. Instead they set him up to be with Nancy, which feels cheap to both their characters and frankly makes Steve look like he’s only into Nancy because he’s clearly desperate for a conventionally attractive girl.
In this essay I will…
i know that ronance being canon is basically not happening at all HOWEVER steddie–– istg there are so many hints and looks and it would make perfect sense for steve to date a guy after all the “can’t find THE perfect gf for some reason no matter how hard he tries” like… i am THINKING
all steddie and ronance scenes are basically just them looking at each other when they (mostly) think the other one isn’t looking lol:)
eddie saw shirtless steve and really said to himself “hmm what would be even better than this?” and immediately decided to put his denim vest on him, so true so true
steve and eddie being boyfriends in the upside down :)
i want to paint eddie’s nails so bad :’) he deserves that. it’d look so good with his rings and everything. we deserve a scene with robin or someone painting his nails as he talks about his crush on steve and robin about her crush on nancy in return. MAKE IT HAPPEN
