For Pokkén Tournament DX, I wanted focus on the fact that it was a fighting game with, well Pokémon in it. I decided to pay homage to Nintendo’s other great fighting franchise, Punch Out! Next up was Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions. Not much to say about this one, but it’s always fun to draw Mario and Luigi. I tried to ape the Mario and Luigi franchise style for this one too. In Layton’s Mystery Journey, Professor Layton has gone missing, and his daughter is tasked with solving the mystery of where he’s ran off to. I thought it’d be fun to put yer man Scullion in Layton’s clothes, with him bursting into the detective agency.
