Neovision Syndicate

About Neovision

An Urban Nightmare level syndicate. They function similarly to an office or association, however are not registered as such in order to skirt around laws when necessary. Their members are easily as talented as Grade 1 fixers and could even be legible for colour designation if they were registered as an office or association. They are a paramilitary syndicate with heavy emphasis on respect and familial-esque bonding.

Though they are ranked as an Urban Nightmare, they are as powerful as (if not more than) a Star of the City. However, they exclusively do dirty business in the Backstreets while keeping business in Nests clean and simple, and as a result, are considered ‘safer’ than other syndicates. They have been hired by several Wings, and have even been hired by the Head a few times in their lifetime. They are one of the longest standing syndicates in the City, but are largely unheard of due to their low profile and hatred of the spotlight.

Neovision Ranks

The Fang

The highest rank in Neovision. The Fang has the same job as an office operator, handling paperwork for requests and distributing them to their underlings. The Fang may choose to participate in fulfilling requests, but it is not mandated. However, it is often customary to do so, due to the bonds that Neovision members are expected to build and maintain. Insults to the Fang by both insiders and outsiders are taken as the highest offence, and are always punished by swift execution.

The Teeth

The second highest rank in Neovision. A Tooth is a commander, a role similar to that of an association’s section director. They’re the most experienced veterans of the syndicate, aside from the Fang. There are currently four active Teeth, however, due to the Fang also choosing to participate in the field, there are five active teams in total within Neovision. They are as follows:

* Ebony: Led by the Fang, Ink; Ebony specialises in torture (physical and psychological) and interrogations.

* Ivory: Led by a Tooth, Easel; Ivory specialises in paramilitary warfare and long-term territory battles.

* Seafoam: Led by a Tooth, Otto; Seafoam specialises in underground smuggling operations, typically by use of sewer systems.

* Malodour: Led by a Tooth, Toa; Malodour specialises in tracking and information collecting, as well as assassinations.

* Gilded: Led by a Tooth, Ermi; Gilded specialises in diplomacy and contract-based dealings.

The Claws

Senior members of Neovision. They are typically given more difficult requests than the lower ranks, and are commanded by their team’s Tooth. Not to be confused with the Head’s Claws.

The Paws

Junior members of Neovision. They have passed basic training and are permitted to fulfil requests up to Urban Legend level. Similarly to Claws, they are commanded by their team’s Tooth. They are occasionally permitted to work with Claws on Urban Plague and even Nightmare level requests.

The Tails

Cadets of Neovision. They have not yet passed basic training and are rarely permitted to go out on the field against anything higher than an Urban Myth. They are not yet assigned to a team, either.
