taylor has been able to call many places home - pennsylvania, nashville, london, even loved socal - but new york has always been a different story. she was always so enamored with it and took the jump when she never thought she would, and had a whirlwind of a time there, with some of the biggest turning points of her career. she made it so that her name is synonymous with the city. gave the city one of its anthems. it’s a beautiful full circle moment for her to have received her honorary doctorate from nyu — for her to be in the city’s history once more, and forever.
