Loling at Sc*oter sharing posts on his story of people who have had success/positive histories with him as if their experiences speak for all other humans in the industry. Taylor didn’t say anything in her post that makes one believe her experiences represent everyone who has worked with him. She’s one person who just got everything taken from her by a man who was openly against her in the past. She’s allowed to be angry. She’s allowed to speak and fight for what she believes is right, which includes calling people out who have been unethical. It’s great that you’ve had all these positive relationships with SB, but don’t write off contrasting experiences. So proud of Taylor for speaking up on behalf of herself and other artists, knowing full well the hate & mockery she would receive. Without boldness and bravery, change will never be possible. So. IDSB has a complety new meaning to me after today. She’s told us before that she’s written lyrics based on her daydreams… What if IDSB was partly inspired by a daydream about finally being able to walk away from this bs? Fans are my favorite thing in the world. I’ve never been the type of artist who has that line drawn between their friends and their fans. The line’s always been really blurred for me. I’ll hang out with them after the show. I’ll hang out with them before the show. If I see them in the mall, I’ll stand there and talk to them for 10 minutes.
In 2010 my lovely Uncle Piers (who has sadly passed away now), went on his third space mission - STS-132. He let each family member send him something for him to take up to space. Here is a photo of him holding my item of choice, Taylor Swift’s first album.. obviously.
When Taylor re-records her albums, it would be so amazing if she added a new song or two in the spirit of those albums or old cutting room floor songs!
