Thinking back to when I started listening to TAZ for the first time, and the only thing I knew going in was that there was a character named Taako who had a (dead, I thought) sister named Lup who was in a relationship with someone named Barry Bluejeans.

I was very confused when Barry Bluejeans died within the first few episodes without any mention of Lup even existing.

we have briefly discussed taako becoming a “full time” emissary of istus before but i would like to once again pitch the following

#1 he uses sewing shears to cut a hole in spacetime to jump through the way the reapers have their scythes

#2 istus gives him a pair of oversized knitting needles which can double as arcane foci but

#3 in addition to (instead of) using them for their intended purpose taako likes to stick them in his crossbow and fire them like arrows. pew pew motherfuckers. sometimes he threads a tapestry needle, casts enlarge on it, pops that bad boy into his crossbow and fires so he can use it like a grappling hook (to varying degrees of success) (read: failure)

i know i am playing it extremely fast and extremely loose with “what can be considered an arrow” and also “the size and properties of needlework tools’ but consider #1 it’s cool and #2 very funny to imagine taako making a bunch of time criminals stand there and wait while he fiddles with a bunch of crochet tools for like five fucking minutes in the middle of a fight.hold onhe says. everybody shut up. when this works it is going to whip so much ass

and the time criminals are like. hey. …aren’t you taako? from the story and song?

and taako’s like i also have a podcast and a clothing line

and the time criminal frowns and says. i think my kid goes to your school
