I’m happy with who I am. I am so filled with hope and love and softness. I am not what I have been through- I will always be that kid who just wants to see people smile and if someone doesn’t see that- sorry.
Would it kill anyone on this site to be even the tiniest bit critical of what they find “cute” in terms of animal posts?

There’s a post with over a hundred thousand notes now that has crossed my dash three times. Everyone on that post is just cooing over how cute and funny the video is, but it raises my blood pressure straight through the roof.
I’m not going to link to said post because I don’t want to have any part of how much traffic it gets, and I’m not sure I could find it again anyways since I just unfollow on sight anytime someone I follow reblogs it, but here’s a screenshot I took the first time around:
Someone takes a tiny little cage that looks like it might fall apart at the slightest jostle, stuffs two budgerigars in it, ties it to the back of their cat, and then lets the cat outside. It’s pretty clear from their body language that the budgies are stressed to hell, and that doesn’t even begin to cover how atrociously dangerous this is.
I’m just. So sickened.
Just to add- and I’m pretty sure I’ll get shit for it, videos of obease animals might be funny or cute but dear god please remember that those animals are suffering- they are unhealthy and unlike people- they don’t have control over what they eat. Their people are making them unhealthy. So next time you laugh at a really fat animal (I find them cute too) just remember that those animals are usually (I say usually cause idk all the animals or what they are going through) unhealthy and will die much sooner than if they were healthy.
