Hey everyone! I’m in need of some testers for a new pattern I wish to publish in the next 2 weeks or so and have decided to try something a bit different. Lately I’ve been getting requests to test my patterns from multiple websites such as instagram and twitter. Instead of placing tester requests on every website I’ve decided to create a mailing list potential testers can sign up to. That way I only need to send out one email and everyone knows what is going on. If you would like to sign up please click the link below and fill out the short questionnaire which will help me decide if you would make a good tester.
Keep in mind even if you register as a tester that doesn’t mean you’re promised a testing position. There are only a few spots and only a few patterns I publish every year.

Testing market stall, presumably basegame.
Hello. Im working on Cannibal MOD new version, and one of the new features will be a market stall for cannibals.
I was doing some witch craft with the stalls. (I have university) So I have cloned the Kebabs Stall from University and mix with some parts of a base game object, so the thing is that this stall is presumably basegame (I dont know if basegame have the iteractions to work correctly stalls) but at least having a game pack with stalls in it will do the work to function correctly. (University or Cityliving or RoM or Strangerville) I finger crossed that basegame works too. So I made this testing version. please tell me in the comments if works.
The features that have this stalls are:
1. Vendors attend the stalls automatically (dont need to hire them)
2. Works 24 hrs. (vendors just change turns)
3. Be placed in any lot and vendors attend them inmediatly (even residential)
4. Has custom food (this test has only ambrosia, but more to come)
5. Packs multicompatibility. (you need at least one of the game packs announced before to work correctly and finger crossed to be basegame)

Re-teaching myself Selenium because I keep forgetting because I never use it because I’m stuck using HP tools at work. It’s so much ball ache just getting it set up, but Java is a much nicer language than VB.
Gonna spend the weekend automating browser based games for practice. If anybody’s got any good ones let me know and I’ll return the favour by sending you my code so you can essentially bot the game… not that I’m condoning that.
The Shuttle Orbiter 101 “Enterprise” soars above the NASA 747 carrier aircraft after separating during the first free flight of the Shuttle Apporach and Landing Tests (ALTs) conducted on August 12, 1977 at Dryden Flight Research Center in Southern California. Astronauts Fred W. Haise Jr., and C. Gordon Fullerton were the crew of the “Enterprise.” The ALT free flights are designed to verify Orbiter subsonic airworthiness, integrated systems operations and pilot-guided approach and landing capability and satisfying prerequisites to automatic flight control and navigation mode.

harping on about standardized tests seems like it’s kinda missing the point. I don’t see how tests being standardized is the big problem here.
I guess it’s a way of mobilising around/talking about the stuff that forms the bulk of the problem in reality without bundling that with the more extreme stance of being against test-like forms of (summative?) assessment altogether
Yeah, I think it’s bundling a few things together. (Note also that “standardized testing” can mean things like the SAT, but can also mean the 2-3 day battery of tests students take at the end of the year, in some states every year; I think the latter gets more general population ire than the former.)
- Some people don’t like the whole idea of testing and grades to begin with, but they’re a minority.
- A somewhat larger group doesn’t like measuring outcomes in ways that can be compared between teachers or schools. Sometimes because teachers don’t like feeling like people are looking over their shoulder, sometimes because there are real consequences attached to it that can feel somewhat random, and sometimes because people don’t like what the measurements reveal.
- (The Kendi-ist contretemps about how standardized testing is racist is a subpoint of the previous point. Black students perform worse on standardized tests than white students. No one likes thinking about the implications there, so it’s easy to blame the tests.)
- Standardized testing is annoying because it turns like three days of the school year into this ordeal that stresses everyone out.
- This sort of standardized testing is also relatively new; my parents mostly didn’t experience it. So it’s easier to complain about.
- Standardized tests aren’t responsive to what teachers choose to cover, so they’re more likely to drive teaching to the test. (You can’t “test to the teach”, which is what I prefer to do.)
