Saturday 10th March 2018: Even with all the snow we’ve recently had, these little guys were determined to make an appearance in the name of ‘Spring’! Nature is incredible and utterly beautiful.

Friday 9th March 2018: When your boyfriend’s away in Amsterdam all weekend ‘roadying’ for a band, as much as you might want to, you don’t just sit at home pining….you get your ass to your mates 40th do and (in the words of Frank Gallagher) you “PAAAAAAARTY!! Tonight was a great joint celebration for Barry’s 40th and his dad’s 70th. It was expertly organised, fantastically managed and a really great atmosphere of fun, love, laughter and dancing. Congratulations all-round! Xx

Tuesday 6th March 2018: Death. One of my favourite cards to get in a reading, especially when I’m reading for myself. Transitioning, closing that chapter and starting a new one. It represents hope and these cards never fail me. Truly amazing.

Sunday 4th March 2018: Had a fab team meeting in Barnsley with some of my favourite people this afternoon :) What do you get when you put a designer, a counsellor, a solicitor and a medium in an Indian restaurant? Bloody great IDEAS that’s what!!

Thursday 1st March 2018: Another snow day! There’s been a red weather alert in the south and midlands today (danger to life) but luckily, so far, for Yorkshire it’s just been difficult to get to work…or even off the bloody street! In the 4 years we’ve lived on the Dragons we’ve never seen snow like this, it reminds me of the winters from my childhood….bit weird considering spring is officially only a few weeks away. It’s been an icy cold day but beautiful. Oh and ‘Storm Emma’ is now due….probably adding more chaos to the roads in the morning. Joy!

Wednesday 28th February 2018: Well I thought I’d be more successful this morning than I was but after sliding around on the roads then sitting in standstill traffic waiting to get onto the bypass for nearly an hour I sacked it off, turned around and went home. Snow day it is!

Sunday 25th February 2018: I desperately needed to end this week in a calm and peaceful way so the Rodley Nature Reserve seemed the obvious choice. It’s filled with lots of beautiful wildlife and with signs of Spring around the corner this reserve is somewhere we’ll now be visiting regularly to watch how it changes through the seasons. Talking to the Nature Reserve Warden he told us about the dragonfly ponds that will be starting to come to life towards the end of March….so that’s me having a little birthday treat then!…..I LOVE dragonflies!! And it was a lovely surprise when I walked up to an empty feeding station and a stunning long tailed tit flew in at the same time and started feeding right in front of me! Smiles all round :)

Saturday 24th February 2018: Had a lovely time catching up with this motley crew tonight. I sincerely feel blessed to have such loyal and loving friends in my life (and not just the ones in these photo’s). After a really tough week, once again, the love and empathy of my friends has picked me up and carried me when I was on my knees. And I’ll be forever grateful for that. xx

Friday 23rd February 2018: For Steven’s birthday last week, my present to him was a twilight spa at the gorgeous Oulton Hall (with me as his plus one, obvs). So this evening he was chillaxed and loved to within an inch of his life! Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and full body massage, if anyone deserved it, this man did. When I love you, it’s for life and you know it…..and I think he knows it lol!

Thursday 22nd February 2018: It was so good to meet Archie, Su and David’s 11 week old Chihuahua, this evening. Lots of puppy cuddles and nose kisses….the very best kind of therapy.

Tuesday 20th February 2018: When he emails you saying ‘Probably the last chance we’d ever get….’ with a link to tickets to see Paul Simon!!!! OMFG YES!!!!! Simon and Garfunkel were the soundtrack to our America road trip in 2006 and I’ve been in love ever since Steven Howells you just keep rocking my world! I love you, I love you, I love you!! This level of excitement cannot be contained!!!! Xxxx
