Headcanon that Pyro is such a spooky little guy. Quiet steps. Stands very still. Picks the darkest corners. All completely unintentional, but even Soldier’s been known to jump and yelp at his out-of-nowhere creepy “Hello!”
Engineer has the worst of it, because he’s the one Pyro turns to after a nightmare. In the middle of the night. In his full gear. Engie wakes up to the softest nudge and the sorriest whimper, and there’s this man-sized looming shadow standing soundlessly over him like an omen of impending doom.
