I was playing as Pyro the other day, on RED, and we had a really good game. It was both challenging and exciting, the team was very well-coordinated, and we defended our final point like true champs.
And then, thirty seconds before the match ended, I got auto-balanced to BLU. Their teleporter has just broken, and there was a long way across the map, so by the time I made it there, the RED have already won, and were finishing off the other team in their triumph.
A Sniper ran up to me - a RED Sniper, MY Sniper, I defended him from the enemy Spies and helped him when he got set on fire countless times! He paused for a few seconds, pointing his gun at me, and there was no reason for him to aim for that long because we were only a short straight line of a distance away from one another and I wasn’t moving. So I figured he must’ve been reading my username. Maybe even recognized it - I certainly recognized his. And I felt a tiny spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, he won’t kill me like all the other BLUs, as a gesture, one former teammate to another.
No offense to my audience but why does literally everyone with a Sniper icon have the same icon from like the Halloween comic
