Just got my copy of @projecttfzine this morning, for which I wrote the foreword! Absolutely blown away by the production values on it, it looks fantastic! Fandom’s come a long way since we were photocopying our manually pasted-up zines in the library way back in the day!

I just got my copy of the excellent @projecttfzine and I have to say this is a top-notch product! I’ve really been enjoying my fellow contributors’ fics, art and comics :) And, now that the zine is out in the wild, here’s the “author’s notes” for my story, “First Do No Harm,” featuring the meeting between Nickel and Glit, where one medic is in the DJD, and the other’s on the List.

I have never seen one in person or with a proper size reference! I knew they weren’t super tiny like pixietails but I thought they were, I don’t know, a head or so shorter?
Edit: Though, they did also do a smaller, baby line and a Teeny Tiny Tails Jewellery line.
They are like….. a little bigger than a golf ball including wing span? I guess?

While we have always appreciated every member of our extended GALT family, the challenges of the last couple of years have taught us new levels of gratitude. For instance, last winter, we learned not to take for granted simple things like heat and electricity at the kennel on a cold (ok, really cold) winter day. And then we realized just how much we appreciate volunteers willing to bring gallons of bottled water for the hounds to drink when the kennel water was out.
We also see and appreciate the seemingly small things that happen every day to make our continued success possible.The donations of $5 from supporters who just lost their job, gently used dog coats from a families experiencing a loss, car rides across the desert to welcome new hounds to the GALT family, foster dog food paid for out of foster families’ own pockets, and so many other contributions large and small are noticed, remembered, and deeply appreciated. We wish we could thank each of you individually in person for your support! We know our success finds its roots in your generosity and kindness.

Update: the radiologist believes it is cancer of the spleen. We are halfway to having enough funds to do the ultrasound, which needs to happen ASAP.
