Emperor Palpatine stands next to Rey behind a podium. A crowd of Empire officers are watching him speak. Palpatine says, “This is my granddaughter Rey. She’s a Jedi and a rebel and she wants to kill us all!” Rey looks concerned. Palpatine continues, “And I’m proud of her!” Rey smiles. The audience of Empire officers sitting at tables with white tablecloths gasps loudly. Palpatine says, “I’ll admit it. And I’m not going to hide it any longer.”

An officer stands up. He says, “I’ve never told anyone this… Years ago, I voted for Bail Antilles to replace Chancellor Valorum!” Another officer stands up. He says, “I’ve read the ancient Jedi texts!” He weeps into his hands, “I’ve read them all!” The other officers begin to clap.

Tarkin exclaims, “I’m gay!” Thrawn admits, “I’m blue.” Rey turns to Palpatine as clapping continues and says, “Oh this is wonderful grandfather -“ Darth Vader interrupts her to say, “I murdered my wife!” Rey looks bemused and Palpatine looks annoyed.
