Korra wip anyone?
A new Korra for a new story.
About two years ago, I decided to watch this show called Avatar: The Last Airbender. Then I watched the sequel series, The Legend of Korra. And then my life was complete. -u- For me, these stories are the culmination of everything I love about storytelling, and they’ve inspired how I shape each one of my own stories.
However, like some other Avatar fans, I felt that even though Book Four of Korra was mightily enjoyable, it didn’t quite feel like the completion of this seven-book journey. So my brother and I, with explosive inspiration, figured-out an alternate way to tell the story of Book Four - repurposing and expanding on the foundations set in place in the original version, but bringing all of Korra’s adventures to a definitive conclusion. The pre-existing title “Balance” applies just as well to this new version - so to differentiate, we chose the synonym “Harmony”.
Regarding the drawing itself - you may have recognized the poses from Korra’s official design sheet. I wanted to visualize a part of our idea, by seeing it in the original style.
And so here is Korra’s revised appearance! While healing from her encounter with Zaheer, Korra decides to explore the Spirit World hoping to reconnect with Raava and learn the spiritual ways of the Avatar that she’s never truly mastered. Her look has become more organic, asymmetrical and flowing - even mimicking Raava’s design in some areas to reflect her shifted focus on the unconfined spiritual world.

Oop so sorry to be thirsting on y’all’s timeline on this lovely Wednesday afternoon but I have no one else to talk to about it so just smile and wave.
I am watching s4 e11 of The Legend of Korra (“Kuvira’s Gambit) and I just happen to notice how FIT Bumi has gotten in those 3 years Korra was away. Like?? Him and Tenzin in these airbender suits has me just a teensy weensy bit feral. They’re both so tall and distinguished I am simply . I’d let them fuck me up good gawd almighty.
OH MY GOD why am I just now finding out that Jasper from Twilight was Sokka in that god forsaken god awful The Last Airbender movie?? Pls no one told me I went from looking up who is Suyin’s father to looking up the cast of that movie bc I wanted to laugh at how bad it was that we never saw some of those actors again and I GASPED when I saw Jackson Rathbone’s name
