Disney+ has announced their “Pride Collection” list of LGBTQ+ stories and characters that are showcased on the streaming service for Pride Month. It’s a good quantity of shows, including new offerings such as “Glee” and “Love, Victor.” However, at least three important series have been left out.
1. Andi Mack – the first Disney Channel show with an out gay character, Cyrus Goodman. He was the first character to say “I’m gay” on any Disney-branded platform. He also had a pioneering relationship with another gay character, TJ Kippen. Most of the episodes are missing on Disney+.
2. The Lodge – the first Disney Channel UK series with an out gay character, Josh. The entire series is available on Disney+, but it was not listed for Pride.
3. Loki – a famous bi and genderfluid character who has been featured in comics since 1962, then in Marvel movies and the Loki TV series which can still be seen on Disney+. But it’s not on the list.

I have just realized with the new casting announcement of Margarita and Keira, it is slowly becoming a reality that Sabrina will be the only white woman in The Lodge.
Philippa, Margarita, Triss, Keira, Francesca, Yennefer, Fringilla are all women of color.
Sabrina is white and Sheala, Assire and Ida are not yet cast.
