“I really like how podcasts react to tropes that TV shows and movies have, and turn them up on its head. Wolf 359 addresses every little detail, that the listener might have forgotten, or are itching to know the answer to (eg the time loops). The Penumbra Podcast subverts tropes like it’s no one’s business. Whenever you expect something to head in a direction you think it’s about to go, it goes the opposite way and brings you down a path you wouldn’t expect. I really like what podcast writers do!”

[id: two sketches, one of a youtube page with a video up called “Juno Steel says he loves you and is sorry ASMR”. The second is Peter Nureyev in the dark, curled up in a blanket with tissues scattered around him and clutching a pint of Space Ben & Jerry’s with a spoon in it, tear stains on his face and the video in front of him.]

[id: a digital sketch of Juno Steel from The Penumbra Podcast. He is a dark skinned person with a scar across his nose and short, dark, curly hair, and he is wearing a trenchcoat. He is holding a bouquet of roses and dahlias, and looking back behind him with a sad expression on his face. Next to him is written “dahlias and roses…”]

[id: a short comic of peter nureyev, with juno steel standing in the background. nureyev says “I can cry on command” and then tears start rolling down his face. juno in the background says “wow cool”. peter continues to cry. juno says “can you stop now” and peter, with his face covered in tears, says “no”]
