It’s My Little Monday!
With…The Pony Project G3 Junie Moon Autumn!
The charity (Give Kids the World Village) sponsored MLP professional artist gallery show returns to My Little Monday with yet another pony. This one is “Junie Moon Autumn” pony, and she’s been customized with nice earth tone colors and lace. The pony is kind of a beige skin color, with a brown velvet dress, lace cape, fur collar, and lace decor for her forehead. In the brown bow is a little crown. They added eyelashes in 3D/hair for her upper lids. It looks like the eye may be decorated with gems or something, but it’s too hard to see at the angle of the photos. Her hair has been kept white, tied into buns, and has gold ribbon added. More lace and beadwork surround each foot.
Look at the back leg: it looks like there’s some tiny text there near the bottom. Maybe it’s a signature? Working with a giant pony like this makes it easier to use more normal materials and easier to work with as well (in some ways) Items like cloth, lace and faux fur look better often at normal/human sizes rather than miniature. Everything here looks to scale, and she seems to have a calming theme. Presumably, the photo was taken by the artist, but there is no label on anything (again). As is also the usual, this one can re-appear if more information is found/added.

With…G3 The Pony Project “Disco”!
Another photo from the “Give Kids The World Village” charity project with G3 giant size ponies turns up. This time, it’s “Disco” the well…disco-ball themed pony! As for the usual recap: artists were given huge G3 ponies to turn into works of ar that would be displayed in a gallery, then sold to raise money for charity. These large ponies were much bigger than anything ever sold at retail, but they had fully done white hair, white bodies & traditional pony eyes stamped on.
In this case, whoever did this has covered the entire pony in small square disco ball mirrors and given the hair a tidy style so it wouldn’t lay over the mirror effect. They have set her on a special base so that (very appropriately) she rotates just like a real disco ball would.
However, as you can also see, the quality of the photo isn’t the best. The background suffers from pixelation, this is all the larger it is, and you can’t really tell what’s going on with the eyes. They also cropped off the base where the artists’ name would be and included no photo credit either. Maybe this one was hard to take pictures of because it was so reflective…but whatever the reason, photos of it are so uncommon that this may be the only one.
This one is a fun idea who may have benefited more perhaps from smaller sized mirrors and perhaps to leave the eye as an actual eye so some personality would come through. (Or maybe a better photo would reveal more…) Still she is interesting to see as a part of the project. (Naturally, if any more photos or info comes to light there gets to be either another post, or this one gets amended)

With…G3 The Pony Project 2012 Rocking Horse Blue Pony
Another photo from the Pony Project appears…and this is all the resolution that it has. So, you can’t read the symbol nor the words on the pyramid. The name of the artist or the work is also not known.
This is the usual giant size G3 pony, but whoever did it has customized it to blue with 2 white bands on each leg. The hair was left white and has been braided and tied with black ribbons. The pony has been glued to a wooden rocker base, turning her into a ‘rocking horse’ toy for the plush pyramid happy character to ride on and hug. They changed the eye to solid black and white, and added a bright pink solid blush mark for each cheek.
It’s an ok design: clearly they had the character set up/in mind and then added a fun toy to enjoy the character’s rocking ability. It would be interesting to know what is written on the pyramid.
The charity this benefited was Give Kids the World Villiage in 2012. There were supposed to be something like 25 of these done, but it seems like there were more than just what appeared in the Toy Gallery 1 Night Event Art Show (and were then sold to raise money). Characters keep popping up that were never in the original photos from the gallery. Sometimes someone can chip in with info once it’s posted here though…in which case she’d re-appear with more info and more photos.
*There are so many of these that they’re taking over MLM, so considering having a day of the week for them that is separate. Also they’re about to get super weird and somewhat inappropriate.

These TPP large artist ponies will be posted as more are discovered. Somehow, there doesn’t seem to have been actual, good, published photography coverage of the 1 Night Only art-show/gallery that these were all collected together in. You’d think someone would have wanted it recorded all in 1 place. There were some unknown amount of these, some say 25 because 25 years, some say more because not all them made it into the show/etc. But, what can be agreed upon is that they’re interesting to look at.
A single photo of this one has appeared on a previous MLM, but this gives the best look yet at the project. The symbol, is of course the “6% Doki Doki” brand logo and only on one side which makes sense with the era/style. The eyes have shooting star gems for their pattern, and they did add false eyelashes (they are 3D nylon strips) Notice the tiny gems behind the eye on the face.
She is dressed as a Japanese colorful fashion girl inspired by “Harajuku Style” where there are mis-matched socks, loads of barrettes regardless of hair style, lots of bright colors and pattern mixing. The hair is a very bright colorful mixture, and she has the expected ‘hairy knee-socks’ that sometimes go along with the style. The necklace is actually a brand item too.
This is a fun one, and it’s good to know the artists’/brand name and that they were the one taking the photos too.
The helpful Tumblr kiramaipink adds
“hihi!!this pony, by the way, her cutie mark actually says 6% DokiDoki! that’s a big decora-focused brand in harajuku, and the pony is actually wearing a necklace from that brand. her clothes are also inspired by looks they’ve produced in the past their logo was used for her mark and it’s the same logo they often sell on tin badges! “

It’s My Little Monday!
With…G3 art pony AND Convention Pony!
This is in a bit of response to “Whatever happened to…” As you’ve seen on earlier MLMs, there were the really large “The Pony Project” charity artist ponies, but, there was another very large pony mold made and done first! And, it’s this one! As you remember, all of TPP ones are standing with all feet flat and the head straight. The bottom pony is artist-designed on semi-transparent plastic. This alternate-big-one was seldom used (why? It’s so pretty!) but it seems like only 2 really big molds were ever done. Hasbro liked the art so well/the look of the pony that they actually did do a run of her.
The top one is her from her exclusive convention run. When Hasbro had teamed up with/endorsed “The Pony Fair”, they promised everyone an all new pony every year that they would attend. It was to be a G3 in a fancy box similar to this one. Several of these were done, but this one seems to be the only one who had a ‘big size artist’ counterpart. It’s very interesting that they kept the sprays, semi-transparent plastic and the hair colors identical. (And that they didn’t try to cheap out) The only thing different seems to be the size and the pose. (The pose for all convention ponies was the “Hanger-hoof/bore-7 pose”) Is there only 1 of the huge one? (Probably) I do wonder where it went…
Reminder: The charity was “Give kids the world village” and the big ones were 18 inches each. This one was PROBABLY not part of TPP, or it was some kind of ‘proto-try’ at what a big pony turns out like. She’s pretty with the magenta and maroon hair, plus the pretty sprays. The art on her is ‘pop art’ kind of, which is nice if you like the style. You can see why this one would get chosen to become a convention exclusive.

It’s My Little Monday!
With…G3 Proto Pony Project!
Every so often another of the “Pony Project” photos show up, and this is a case of that, but it’s more unknown than usual. As you can see, this is another of the “Giant G3s”, but it wasn’t given to an artist for the charity project, it seems to be something Hasbro itself did. Here, it is seen at a convention. (Photographer is unknown, title is unknown, where is unknown)
Why did they make it? Was it going to be turned small and used as a convention exclusive? The intricate design resembles a bit of the style for the Black/Blue one or maybe a bit the ‘dandelion’ convention exclusive G3s. The color, a good magenta bordering on a bit of burgundy, resembles a bit of Cheerilee/Sakura, especially with the dark pink/light pink hair blend. Notice that her eye doesn’t use black, it’s just all pinks/darker pinks.
There are hidden shapes among her designs. You can find a hot air balloon, a butterfly, a tea pot, a strawberry and her heart shape seems to be an abstracted lady bug (it has a face) She’s really interesting to see, so one must wonder what happened to her if she did not get to be part of “The Pony Project” ? She is highly likely to be one of a kind. (But who’s that next to her?) This is certainly an interesting (and uncommon photo) to see.
